Belarus U20 to play against Buffalo, USA, Slovakia prior to WM

The U20 World Hockey Championship starts in Buffalo December 26. The team of Belarus, which regained its place in the elite, will take on Sweden in the starting game of the upcoming WM.

Belarus, coached by Yuri Faykov, will also play in the same group against Switzerland, Russia and the Czech Republic. Four teams of five will play in the playoffs.

On December 12, Belarus started a training camp. Yuri Faykov has to pick four hockey players out of 28.

On December 16, the Belarusian U20 team will leave for the United States, where before they will hold three friendlies before the WM. These will be friendlies with Buffalo U20 as well as peers from the United States and Slovakia.

Now we are training hard. But the guys understand everything, they are working hard. We will meet December 16th on the plane.

We usually won not at the expense of particular players, but thanks to coaching instructions, our training system and the game system.

Competition is serious. While we have five fives. Then a couple of people from North America will be added. Training is now more active, we run more.

We will play actively, hard, try to attack and shoot more. We play according to Canadian system, so a small ground will also benefit us.
