FC BATE through to Champions League 3rd qualifying round, set to face Slavia Prague BATE continues the performance in the UEFA Champions League. On July 18 in the second leg of the second qualifying round, Alexander Ermakovich's team defeated the Armenian club Alashkert in Yerevan 3:1. The Borisov team conceded first, but replied with two goals in the first half thanks to the skills of Gordeychuk. In the second half, Volodko summed it up. After the first-leg draw 1:1 BATE thus progress to the third qualifying round where they take on Czech Slavia from Prague.

BATE Borisov, in the event of a victory over the Armenian Alashkert after the second leg, will meet SK Slavia Prague in the third round. Dinamo Minsk to face FK Rabotnički in Europa League 2nd qualifying round FC Dinamo Minsk beat Faroese Runavik 2:0 in the second leg of the Europa League 1st qualifying round. The first match in Belarus ended with a victory of Minskers with a score of 2:1. This score left the Faroers a good chance of qualifying for the next round. These chances increased in the sixth minute, when Dinamo midfielder Artem Bykov was sent off. Nevertheless, the Minsk team managed to contain the hosts' attacks and effectively played on counters.

BATE Borisov get Armenia's Alashkert in Champions League 2nd qualifying round BATE Borisov learned their Champions League 2nd qualifying round opponents. They will take on Armenia's Alashkert. In the first qualifying round the Armenians beat Andorra's Santa Coloma 2:1 on aggregate. Alashkert won the match at home 1:0 and drew 1:1 in the second leg. BATE will host the first leg in Belarus on July 12. The match begins at 20.30 Belarusian time. Both opponents have won their past three games in respective championships.

The title holders Real were trailing to Napoli 0:1 after the first half but managed to win 3:1. Real Madrid players Benzema, Kroos and Casimiro scored the goals.

After a home victory a week ago at Borisov Arena with a minimum score 1:0 Borisov knew they could not afford themselves to relax. Manager Alexander Ermakovich's charges did not have much ball possession at the beginning of the match. At first, this tactic worked - BATE players did not allow the opponents to pose serious threats to their goal.

FC BATE defeat Dundalk in Champions League 3rd qualifying round first leg On Tuesday, July 26 FC BATE took on Ireland's Dundalk in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. BATE took initiative from the beginning of the match and won 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored after an Alexander Hleb pass. The veteran, who had just returned to BATE, made a delicious pass to Mikhail Gordeichuk, who converted from a difficult angle. The Irish side created only one dangerous episode, in the first half, but the goalie Sergei Veremko rescured the team with a stunning reaction save.

BATE manager on first leg against Dundalk BATE Borisov continues its progress in the 2016/17 Champions League qualification. In the second round, the Yellow-Blues ousted Finland's SJK and in the third round they are to face the familiar opponents from Ireland FC Dundalk, the team with which the Borisov club met in last year's qualifying. Back then, it was BATE who won on aggregate and progressed to the next round.

FC BATE to take on Dundalk in Champions League 3rd qualifying round The Irish Club Dundalk will for a second time be the rivals of FC BATE Borisov in Champions League qualification. In the second qualifying round, the Irish champions twice drew against the Icelandic club Hafnarfjordur 1:1 (home) and 2:2 (away) and entered the third qualifying round thanks to the higher aggregate number of away goals. The Borisov club beat Finnish Seinäjoki 2:0 (home) and drew 2:2 (away). In 2015, BATE and Dundalk met in the 2nd qualifying round and the Borisov team won 2:1 (home, watch the video) and 0:0 (away).

BATE into Champions League 3rd qualifying round FC BATE has reached the third qualifying round of the Champions League. In the second leg of the 2nd round BATE went to Finland to take on champions Seinäjoki. The game ended in a draw 2:2, with the Belarusian club progressing to the next round on aggregate. The visitors began the match in a very confident manner immediately taking the initiative in their hands. BATE then opened the scoring thanks to Alexander Karnitsky's header.

BATE Borisov defeat Seinäjoki 2-0 in Champions League qualifier FC BATE Borisov of Belarus has started with a win in the Champions League qualifying. They defeated Finland's Seinäjoki 2-0 in the first leg of the second qualifying round at Borisov-Arena July 12. The 12-time champions of Belarus had a big advantage in their first match of the new European season.  32 minutes into the game, Yuri Kendysh opened the scoring after a corner kick.

FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk into UEFA Youth League FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk will represent Belarus in the next Champions League season. However, for now this is only the Youth League. On Sunday, the Shakhtyor youth team in the gold match beat peers from Dinamo Minsk. After 34 rounds, the competitors had the same number of points. To address such situations, the regulations provide for a championship match to be held. There were no goals in normal time, but in the penalty shootout, the Miners were stronger than the team from the Belarus capital.

Bayer goalie Leno made a horrendous mistake letting the seemingly easy shot between the legs.

On the crowded Borisov Arena stadium Barcelona from the first minute predictably took the match under control and attacked the Belarusian goal many times. However, the confident game of the BATE goalkeeper Sergei Chernik did not allow the Spaniards to score in the first half. Moreover, inspired by the game of their goalkeeper, BATE in the second part of the first half organized several potentially dangerous attacks.

FC BATE Borisov sensationally defeat Roma 3:2 in Champions League On September 29 evening, the football club BATE in the group stage of the Champions League won against visitors Roma 3:2. That was the first home match of the season at Borisov Arena. The game against the Italians brought Belarusians the first 3 points. Also in our group Barcelona won against German Bayer 2:1 trailing for the most of the match. Now Barcelona has 4 points, Bayer and BATE have 3 while Roma 1.  In the next round, on October 20, the Belarusian players meet Barcelona at Borisov Arena.

FC BATE snatch narrow win versus Partizan in Champions League playoff FC BATE Borisov defeated on August 18 Serbian Partizan at Borisov Arena in the first leg of the decisive round of the Champions League qualification. Mikhail Gordeichuk scored the only goal 75 minutes into the game with a neat header from Igor Stasevich's corner. Partizan were reduced to ten men after Marko Jevtović received his second yellow card in the 45th minute of the first half and were unable to pose significant threat to BATE in the second half.

BATE eager to succeed against Videoton in Champions League At the press center of Borisov Arena, there has been held a press conference of the head coach of BATE Alexander Ermakovich, dedicated to the second leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League 2015/16 against Hungarian Videoton. The coach told media that Igor Stasevich may not take part in the match because of the aftermath of his injury. Stasevich spent with the team only one training session. A decision regarding him will be made just before the game.

Goalie Sergei Chernik was close to producing another miracle of the night but his dive was not enough to tip off an opponent's header that made it 1-1.

BATE may face the winner of the Videoton v New Saints tie. The Hungarian side were stronger in the first away game 1-0. The Champions League 3rd round games will take place on 28/29 July and 4/5 August. BATE won 2-1 against Ireland’s Dundalk at home at Borisov Arena.

BATE 2-1 Dundalk. Stubborn Irish succumb to narrow defeat in Borisov in Champions League qualifier Belarus' FC BATE Borisov faced a tough challenge from Ireland's FC Dundalk in the Champions League second qualifying round. The Belarusians, however, managed to snatch a narrow yet important 2-1 win at home on July 15. BATE quickly took the lead in the 11th minute, with Rodionov making a stunning pass to Karnitsky who didn't hesitate with the shot and beat Rogers from distance.

Shakhter Soligorsk down Glenavon in Europa League 1st qualifying round first leg Two Belarusian football clubs started their European football season. Zhodino's Torpedo-BelAZ and Shakhter Soligorsk held the opening matches of the 1st qualifying round of the Europa League. Both Belarusian representatives played their games away. Igor Kriushenko's Torpedo Zhodino owned initiative and created some dangerous moments, but their accuracy was not enough. Their opponents from Albania, FK Kukësi, in turn, were better in finishing and scored two goals from distance for a 2:0 scoreline by the end of 90 minutes.

Belarusian teams' rivals in 2015 UEFA Champions League, Europa League Dundalk The only indicator thanks to which Dundalk exceeds BATE is history. While pre-revolutionary Russia was only getting accustomed to football, British workers in Dundalk already had several teams to cheer for. And at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, there was a need to combine these disparate groups into one club. It got the name Dundalk.

BATE finish European campaign with 0-2 loss to Athletic On December 10, Alexander Yermakovich's BATE finished their European football campaign after a Champions League defeat at Spain's Athletic 0-2. Home victory over the Basques allowed BATE to progress to the Europa League playoff but the Borisov club failed to win. In the first half, Athletic dominated in all areas, while BATE managed to make only one attempt on goal. However, at the beginning of the second half, the Spanish side broke the deadlock.
