Kupala Theater to go on China tour
Belarus' Kupalovsky Theater to go on China tour The performance "Seagull" by the Kupala Theater will be shown in China. The famous play by Russian writer Anton Chekhov directed by Nikolai Pinigin will be presented in four cities in the PRC. The Belarusian masters will surprise Chinese audience during three weeks. The troupe's decorations have already been delivered to China.

Anzhelika Krashevskaya, Director of the International Theater Art Forum "TEART":We are very uneven. TeART theater forum opens in Minsk on September 27 The comedy "Marriage" will start the seventh International Forum of Theater Art "TEART", which will be opened in Minsk on September 27. This is the second work of director Sergei Zemlyansky in a silent style. The performance was already appreciated in Latvia. Belarusian theater-goers will not be bored at this festival. Teatralny Kufar international theater festival gathers 300 artists in Belarus 20 theaters and 300 participants from all over the world gathered at the forum "Teatralny Kufar" in Minsk. Guests from Chile, Tunisia, the Philippines, Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland, the UK and Russia came to Belarus to show their works. Performances are in several languages, including the language of plastics. Teatralny Kufar is held in Minsk for the 14th time. During this time more, than 60 countries took part in the forum.

Festival of street theaters opens in Minsk May 7 The festival of street theaters opened in Minsk May 7. It brings together 200 artists from Belarus, Germany, Italy, Russia and Poland. The CTV Channel offered a live broadcast of the procession on large screens in the center of the capital. The only large-scale forum of street theaters in Belarus gathered artists from eight countries in the center of the Belarusian capital for the fifth time. Clowns, buffoons and giants on stilts surprised Minsk citizens on May 7.

The International public association Teatro alongside with the French Theatre Association have been giving master classes for European students in Belarus for 10 years. Kupala Theatre opens 95th season Minsk is waiting for high-profile premieres. Yesterday in the evening, the Kupala Theatre opened its 95th season.  These walls are imbued with theatrical atmosphere. It's hard to believe that the first stone of this temple of Melpomene was laid back in 1890. However, the Kupala troupe came on the stage of this theater only after three decades. It was September 14, 1920 that is considered the starting point of the history of the theater.

History of Belarusian batleyka – folk puppet theater Western monks were spiritual fathers of batleyka. In the 15th century they came up with an idea to stage church ceremonies to promote Christianity. Western European mystery came to the Belarusian lands through Poland in the late 16th century. Jesuit fashion for religious performances spread throughout Belarus. The scenes of the birth of Jesus Christ were placed in churches during Christmas holidays.

National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre begins France tour Belarusian ballet will be presented in 26 cities of France. On March 21 in Lyon, the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre began a tour of France. It is the central event of the Days of Belarusian Culture in France.  Our troupe is very popular in that country. Ballet artists carefully prepared and honed every move to impress the French and Belgian public. Not long ago, the Belarusian ballet troupe returned from Germany, where it presented the Christmas story of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker".
