Swimmer from Belarus Aliaksandra Herasimenia has won the 2016 Rio Olympics bronze in the women's 50m freestyle.
The 30 year-old athlete from the Belarusian State University of Physical Training qualified for the final from last, 8th, semifinal place but sailed for bronze in the final clocking 24.11 seconds, only 0.04 seconds slower than winner from Denmark Pernille Blume. Second was Simone Manuel from the USA, 0.02 seconds behind.
Iran's Moradi wins men's 94kg at Rio Olympics, Belarus get silver
Belarusian weightlifter Vadzim Straltsou has won the silver medal at the Rio 2016 in the 94 kg category. In total, the Belarusian athlete lifted 395kg.

Bus with Belarusian journalist attacked by unknown in Rio
A Belarusian journalist has been injured in an attack on a bus at the Rio Olympics. The incident occurred after the basketball game Belarus v Brazil, where the Belarusian team narrowly won.

Belarusian cyclist Vasil Kiryienka finishes road race in Rio after fall
Belarusian rider Vasil Kiryienka has fallen during the men's 237.5 km road race at the Rio Olympics and did not finish the August 6 event.

The Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships have finished in Zaslavl.
In the morning session of the final day, Belarusian rowers climbed to the podium four times. They won gold on three occasions.
Canoe sprinter Nadezhda Makarchenko was equal to none in the junior C1 200m. Shortly after, she, paired with Alyona Nozdryova, won gold in a C2 event.
In the U23 class, Kamila Bobr won silver in the C1 200m and gold in tandem with Darina Pikuleva in C2 200m.
