Belarus won their second match today. This time against the Balkan team - 14:7.

Team of the President of Belarus has won a second victory at the 2017 Christmas Amateur Tournament. A few hours ago, at Chizhovka Arena, Belarusians with beat the team of the Balkans 14:7 (5:2, 2:2, 7:3).

Belarusians come 4th at Dakar 2nd stage
Belarusian Sergei Vyazovich's crew has clocked the fourth best time at the second stage of the Dakar rally. Belarusians are competing at Dakar in the truck class only.
Vyazovich was 2 minutes and 52 seconds behind the winner - Dutchman Martin van den Brink.
Two other Belarusian MAZ crews finished in 18th and 23rd positions.
In the overall trucks standings, Vyazovich and his team are now sixth and Alexei Vishnevsky with Alexander Vasilevsky are a little below 30th place.
President Lukashenko opens Christmas Ice Hockey Amateur Tournament
Belarus for the 13th time hosts the Christmas tournament among ice hockey amateurs for prize of the President of Belarus. In 2017, representatives of 14 states came to Minsk to participate in ice battles.
This is thanks to the fact that a unique team of the Balkans is taking part in the tournament. It brings together players from eight countries at once.
Belarus is traditionally represented by the team of the President. All the games are held at two ice hockey rinks of Chizhovka Arena, which is certainly convenient for the fans.
Belarus beat United Arab Emirates at 2017 Christmas ice hockey tournament
The Belarusian national ice hockey team have won 7:3 at the start of 13th Christmas International Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament for the prize of the President of Belarus. Belarus won against rivals from the United Arab Emirates.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko also played in the match and scored Belarus' last, seventh, goal of the game.
Before that, Alexander Lukashenko earned several assist points.
Last year, Belarus also met the UAE team at this stage and back then also celebrated a victory - 11:8.

HC Dinamo Minsk wins first game at Spengler Cup
Dinamo Minsk have started the Spengler Cup with a victory. The tournament is now underway in Switzerland. In their opener, The Bison met Canada.

Belarus may replace Tyumen as IBU World Cup Biathlon 2017 host

Belarus national football team manager Alexander Khatskevich resigns

Surprising bronze for Belarusian in individual race at IBU World Cup 2016/17
Belarusian Daria Yurkevich was the only one of a hundred participants of the race who did not miss a target in four firing ranges at the IBU World Cup's women's individual 15km race.

The baby was born on October 1 at Minsk's maternity hospital No6 in Belarus. Ole Einar was near Darya during childbirth. Parents did not voice the name of the newborn for a long time and finally announced it on 14 October.

The 25th round of the Highest League confirmed what everybody has known for a long time. BATE became the Champion of Belarus for the 13 time.
It happened in a very small town Luninets where BATE had a match with FC Granit from Mikashevichi.
However, the outsiders of the Highest League had several good chances in the first half. In the second half the defense of Granit became weaker and Nikolai Signevich scored the winning goal bringing BATE another title.

The handball club SKA Minsk have made their way into the third qualifying round of the EHF Cup.
After the away defeat at Austrian Hard (25:28), the vice-champions of Belarus revenged 31:25 (14:10) at the Uruchcha sports palace. Igor Papruga's men did well in the first half securing a comfortable lead and then brought their advantage to six points. The most productive was the winners became Nikita Vaylupov who scored 10 goals.
BC Tsmoki Minsk get first victory in VTB United League

HC Dinamo Minsk suffered a second defeat in a row in the KHL championship losing on the road to CSKA Moscow 2:7.
Before the match against CSKA Moscow the Minsk club had serious squad problems. The list of the injured included a number of key players of the Belarusian team. Head coach Craig Woodcroft could not count on Nick Bailen, Rob Klinkhammer, David Ullstrom, Yevgeny Kovyrshin and Artem Volkov. FC Minsk lose to Barcelona in UEFA Women's Champions League last 32
FC Minsk have failed to enter the last 16 of the Women's Champions League.
In the second leg of the last 32 the Spanish Barcelona beat four-time champions of Belarus 2:1. On 52 minutes Minsk went in front but could not keep the advantage - after 10 minutes Jennifer Hermoso equalized from the penalty spot. 15 minutes before the final whistle Andress Alves delivered the winning goal to make it 2:1 in favor of Barcelona.

Azarenka to become director of children's tennis tournament in Minsk
Victoria Azarenka will become the director of a children's tennis final tournament of the season, which will take place in Minsk at the Republican Center of Olympic Training.

Swimmer Igor Boky won gold in the 50m freestyle. Igor Boky is one of the most outstanding Belarusian Paralympic athletes. As many as 11 times, he was on the podium of the Paralympics. He won 9 gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Igor will compete in two more disciplines at the Rio Paralympics and, hopefully, will be on the podium again.
