The exhibition Colors of Belarus opened in Minsk. Usual sceneries were transformed into extraordinary art works. Vasily Yasyuk, artist, professor of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts:I saw this colorful autumn and I immediately wanted to draw it.

Svisloch waterfront’s reconstruction: 19 months of repairs The reconstruction of the left bank of Svisloch has started in Minsk. Metal constructions are being installed to enclose the territory and paving flagstone is being dismantled. The reconstruction plan includes 100 steps. It includes replacement of a parapet, installment of new stairs and rampant, expanding bike paths. Besides the ongoing repairs of the river’s waterfront, it is planned to tidy a water area. During the reconstruction, the barge next to the Trinity Suburb will be taken away.

Birth rate exceeds mortality in Belarus for first time in 20 years State awards were presented on November 1 to the deserved people of Belarus for the many years of fruitful work and high professionalism. Belarusian polar explorers to go to South Pole in November On October 27, at the National Academy of Science, the polar explorers were seen off to the coldest continent. In November, the expedition consisting of 6 people will go to the South Pole on the board of the ship Akademik Fyodorov . The vessel will leave Saint Petersburg in November. Belarusian and Russian explorers will get off in December in eastern Antarctica.  There they will continue construction of the infrastructure of the Belarusian station and work on joint projects with Russian polar explorers.
