Belarusian National History Museum presents restored chasuble
The National History Museum has presented the restored chasuble of the beginning of the 19th century. The finding is unique, because one part of the Catholic priest's vestment is sewn from several fragments of the world famous Slutsk belts, Belarus' hallmark.
The restoration of the valuable exhibit has been made possible through a presidential grant. It took experts over a year to restore the silk fabrics.
The historical discovery came to the museum in 2008. The original owner of the Catholic priest vestments is unknown.

Pilgrimage to Budslav has received a new status. Now this festival is recognized as a historical and cultural value of Belarus. The tradition of visiting the Mother of God of Budslav dates back to 1990.
In 2015, more than 3 thousand people took part in the pilgrimage to Budslav.
It is believed that going on a journey each pilgrim defines for himself or herself a goal and a request that they think about during the entire way. The route of some believers lasts more than 2 weeks.
Belarus national football team gets kits with national pattern
August 9, the updated kits of the national football team of Belarus was presented. The event was held in one of the Silver Screen cinemas.

Belarus' Constitutional Court approves updated law on state symbols
The Constitutional Court of Belarus on July 8 approved a new law on state symbols. Experts confirmed that the draft document is consistent with all the legislative acts in force.
The new law provides for a ban on the use of the image of the State Emblem of Belarus on letterheads, stamps and seals belonging to NGOs.
Furthermore, there is a list of objects where flags must be set. It is reported that the new law should help Belarusians develop respect for the state symbols.
What Belarusians are proud of - opinion poll results
The majority of Belarusians are proud of their country. These are the results of the poll conducted by the Information and Analytical Centre under the aegis of the Presidential Administration.
Almost 56 percent of respondents are proud of the Belarusian people itself.
Some 40% of respondents take pride in the natural wealth and culture.
Every third also mentioned historical heritage and sporting achievements of Belarusian athletes.
Belarusians now able to hang national flag outside homes
Family celebration under the Belarusian flag. The state will support the desire of Belarusians to hang the national flag outside private homes. Belarusians will be able to do it not only for government but also for family holidays.
At the same time, the flag of another country in Belarus cannot be installed above the Belarusian one. Such changes in the draft law "On state symbols of Belarus" were approved by senators.
