Costumes of Belarus' Pesnyary band on display in National Art Museum
An exhibition of unique costumes in memory of the famous Pesnyary band of Belarus has opened on February 22 at the National History Museum.
It features sketches of dancers of the legendary ensemble Pesnyary.
Once it started with only 17 works but today it is a large-scale exhibition. Here you can find sketches of costumes in which Pesnyary toured the USA.
Unfortunately, 40 years after, some suits have not survived and remained only on paper.
Each image was thoroughly thought out.
Belarusian makes miniature organ from paper: video
Belarusian master Alexey Zholner has made a miniature organ from paper. He has even managed to play the well-known song "Under the sky of Paris."
The author himself coined the design of the musical instrument.
Alexey used cardboard and paper as primary materials. In his comment to the video the master said that in order to create the organ he had to not least regulate the proportions but also carefully pick paper.
The invention was actually an accident. Originally Alexey wanted to build a music box.
Tickets for Slavonic Bazaar 2017 to go on sale online February 20
First tickets for the concerts of Slavonic Bazaar 2017 in Vitebsk will go on sale on February 17.
During the first three days tickets by tradition will be sold only at the box offices of Vitebsk. It is a kind of bonus for residents of the hospitable northern capital of Belarus. From February 20, tickets for particular concerts will be available for booking online.

Belarus says goodbye to People's Artist singer Alexander Tikhanovich
Belarus said farewell to famous singer Alexander Tikhonovich. The People's Artist died on Saturday aged 64. On January 30 morning, a funeral liturgy and funeral service was held at the Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky. Tikhanovich was not only a parishioner of the church, but also a chorister.
The farewell ceremony was attended by the musician's family, friends, colleagues, and numerous admirers.

The winner was determined by an online voting.

Belarusian singer Gunesh Abasova (Günəş Abbasova) has become mother. She announced this on his page on a social network.
"My greatest happiness came to light today! Gökdeniz Cingöz: 53cm and 3,500 kg!" wrote the singer.
According Gunesh, it is hard for her to convey all the emotions that overwhelm the happy parents.

A Belarusian opera singer won the prestigious international competition BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2015.
