This Festival of Aerostatics must have become the brightest show in the city during Minsk City Day. But there were lots of other events. Minsk turned 950. Absolutely all the couples of young marrieds made a wish to celebrate their golden wedding in 50 years when Minsk turns 1,000.

30,000 expected to partake in Minsk half marathon September 10 The prize fund will be $27,000. The distances are unchanged: 5, 10 and 21 kilometers. In 2017, the organizers made adjustments to the route of the shortest race - now it is a circular track. In addition, the distance starts are divided. The winners will receive 6,000 Belarusian rubles each, and each finisher will receive a commemorative medal. Minsk Half Marathon 2016: Runner Olga Mazurenok sets new record Results of the women's part of the September 4 Minsk Half Marathon have become known. Participant of several Olympiads Olga Mazurenok was the first to finish, with a new record of the track. The athlete run a distance of more than 21 kilometers in 1 hour 11 minutes and 44 seconds. Silver went to runner Nina Savina. Bronze medal was won by an athlete from Kenya.

In the nineteenth century, this tandem gave birth to the first Belarusian opera. CTV channel takes part in Minsk Half Marathon The center of Minsk on September 13 was given entirely to sports fans. Minsk hosted today the largest half-marathon in its history. Everyone could choose a distance to their liking but the main track - 21.1 km long - ran through the main avenue of Minsk. More than 16,000 runners and professional athletes started near the Sports Palace. Among them were representatives of the CTV channel.

On Thursday, anyone could try the unique route of Minsk Polo Marathon. The distance was more than 6 kilometers and passed through the main streets of Minsk. Minsk Half Marathon is a young event. For the first time, the competition was held on City Day in 2013.
