HC Dinamo Minsk becomes UNICEF official partner
The ice hockey club Dinamo Minsk has become an official partner of UNICEF. This is the first sports club in Belarus to have signed such a memorandum of cooperation with this organization.

Belarus begins preparations for IIHF WM 2017
The Belarus national ice hockey team have begun preparations for the May world championship. On March 29, the team gathered for a training camp in Minsk. Dave Lewis called up 31 players.
The lion's share are from Dinamo Minsk, but there are also representatives of national Extraliga, the Belarusian national ice hockey championship. Three goalies have been called up, including unofficial number one Mikhail Karnaukhov.

The Sunday match with Shakhtyor was surprisingly rough (a total of 73 minutes of penalty time proves it). Both teams scored once in power play in the first period and also HC Yunost scored in the end of the period in the 5-on-5 play.
HC Lida wins lucky losers round in Belarusian ice hockey championship
One match of the Belarusian National Extraleague was played. Lida won against the U-20 Belarus national ice hockey team away 3:1.
It is remarkable that the visitors scored in every period.

Dinamo Minsk advance to 2016-2017 KHL playoff
HC Dinamo Minsk is in the playoff of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The Bison qualified early for the knockout round thanks to the away victory in penalty shootout over HC Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk. The regular time ended in a draw 2:2.

Dinamo Minsk have beaten SKA St. Petersburg, the KHL championship leader, in a stunning game which ended 5:4 (1:0, 4:1, 0:3). The fantastic match took place at Minsk-Arena on January 3.

Dinamo Minsk have started the Spengler Cup with a victory. The tournament is now underway in Switzerland. In their opener, The Bison met Canada.

The Belarus national team won a landslide victory in the first round of Euro Iec Hockey Challenge against France 3:0 (0:0, 2:0, 1:0).

Belarus submits bid to host 2021 IIHF World Championships
Belarus has applied to host the Ice Hockey World Championship 2021.
"Yes, we have sent official documents to the International Ice Hockey Federation," said the secretary general of the Association "Ice Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus" (FHRB) Yaroslav Zavgorodny in an interview to the TV channel Belarus 5.

Mikhail Grabovski not to play for Belarus in 2018 Olympic qualifiers in Minsk

HC Dinamo Minsk to play in Moscow and Riga in preparation for 2016/17 KHL season
The ice hockey club Dinamo Minsk in preparation for the ninth season in the Kontinental Hockey League will participate in pre-season tournaments in Moscow and Riga.
The Bison have confirmed their participation in the tournament named after the USSR Honored Coach Arkady Chernyshev and Latvian Railways Cup. In Moscow, the Minsk club will play from 4 to 7 August in the Ice Palace. The calendar of matches and the final list of participants is yet unknown.
Belarus to face Canada, Finland, Czech Republic at 2017 IIHF WM

Rene Fasel re-elected as IIHF head
Swiss Rene Fasel will head the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for the sixth time, news agencies report.
There were no other candidates for the post of the IIHF President so Rene Fasel went unopposed. The experienced Swiss will manage the Federation for the next four years.
Rene Fasel has been head of the IIHF since 1994. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Belarus sunk by USA at 2016 IIHF Worlds in Russia
The Belarus national hockey team has suffered its second defeat in the 80th World Championship, losing to the USA 3:6.
Before the USA match, many fans and experts, and not without reason, hoped to see a more meaningful game from Belarus than in the first game against Finland. New head coach of the ice hockey club Dinamo Minsk Craig Woodcroft gave his first press conference in Minsk on 2 May. However, journalists already know him as an assistant to the Belarus national team manager Dave Lewis.
Woodcroft has little experience working as a head coach. In the course of the last season he took charge of German Adler from Mannheim but could not reach the top of the table and even did not lead the team to the playoff. However, Woodcroft is optimistic about his Dinamo future.

The Belarus President's ice hockey team have won the ninth national ice hockey competition among amateur teams. Silver went to the Gomel region.
The final match was really bright and spectacular. After the first period, Gomel were in front 2:1. But in the beginning of the second period, the score was equal. Another goal was scored by Pavel Belyi, assisted by Alexander Lukashenko. By the end of the second period, the scoreboard read 6:4 in favor of the presidential ice hockey team, which eventually won the game.

The Investigation Committee has completed the investigation of the criminal case against former top managers of the Belarusian ice hockey club Dinamo Minsk. Maxim Subbotkin and Vladimir Berezhkov's illegal actions caused a material damage worth more than BYR 3 billion.

Dinamo Minsk have finally said goodbye to the protracted series of defeats in the regular season of the KHL. The Bison did it in the match against the team who topped the league table - Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Belarus wins XII Christmas hockey tournament 2016
The team of the Belarus President became the winner of the 2016 Christmas International Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament. In the final, Belarusians in a bitter struggle defeated Finland 2:1 (0:1, 1:0, 1:0).
Belarus conceded in the first period but then thanks to goals by Andrei Glebov, in the 36th minute, and Daniel Corso (44th minute) the hosts restored the lead and eventually celebrated a victory.
This is the 9th time the team of the President of Belarus has won the Christmas tournament. Previously, in the bronze medal game Slovakia beat Sweden 17:3.

Charity in action during Minsk Christmas Hockey Tournament
According to a good tradition, the participating teams of the Christmas tournament for the prizes of the Belarus President, visit orphans and children left without parental care. On January 6 in the morning the players visited children in the Radoshkovichi boarding school. Belarus get second victory at XII Christmas Ice Hockey Tournament in Minsk
Belarusian hockey players won a second victory at the XII Christmas Tournament for the prize of the President of Belarus in Minsk, beating Slovakia at Chizhovka Arena with a score of 4:3 (2:1, 0:2, 2:0).
The best player in the Slovakian squad was their leader Miroslav Satan, while Daniel Corso received the Man of the Match award.

HC Dinamo Minsk starts 2016 with home defeat at Ak Bars 2:4
The Belarusian ice hockey club Dinamo Minsk has started 2016 with a defeat. In the first home match The Bison met with Kazan's Ak Bars, two-time winners of the Gagarin Cup.
But Dinamo were not equal in strength to Ak Bars that night. The White-Blues scored the first goal but eventually lost 2:4.
Dinamo are in 10th in the KHL table. The Bison are to play three more games in the current home series. The next one is due on January 6 when Dinamo meet Lada from Russia's Tolyatti.
Alexander Lukashenko opens XII Christmas ice hockey tournament
The first days of 2016 in Belarus are under the sign of ice hockey. Yesterday, the 12th Christmas Tournament for the prize of the President of Belarus started in Minsk. This year, teams from 7 countries came to take part in the tournament. Belarus is traditionally represented by the team of the President. All the games are held at the two ice hockey rinks of Chizhovka Arena, which is certainly convenient for the fans.

The U20 national team of Belarus in Helsinki suffered another defeat against their peers from Switzerland in the survival series and was knocked out of the elite division of the IIHF U20 world championship.
Belarus lost to Switzerland 2:6 (2:3, 0:3, 0:0) after a 1:5 defeat in the first game.
The Belarusian team returned to the elite division only last year.

A short visiting tour of the Belarusian hockey club Dinamo Minsk to Central Europe completed unsuccessfully. The Bison scored only one point out of possible six.
In Zagreb, coach Andrei Kovalev's team took on HC Medvescak. The visitors were twice in the lead thanks to Alexei Kalyuzhny's and Ryan Vesce's goals but The Bears restored parity. Everything was decided in overtime. Unfortunately, Dinamo Minsk lost 2-3.
Belarus takes Arosa Challenge 2015 bronze
Belarus has beaten Norway 5:1 (1:0, 3:0, 2:0) in the third-place match of the Arosa Challenge, an ice hockey tournament in Switzerland.
In the Arosa Challenge final, Swiss hockey players defeated the Slovaks 3:2 in shootout (0:0, 2:1, 0:1, 0:0, 1:0).
In the first game, the semifinal of the tournament, Belarus lost to Slovakia 1:4 and lost the right to play in the final.
