UNICEF: Belarus protects children's rights at global level Belarus and UNICEF intend to expand cooperation. This was discussed on September 22 in the upper house of the Belarusian parliament at a meeting with the representative of UNICEF in Belarus. The parties agreed to engage more actively businessmen in this matter. Particular attention is paid to projects designed to support the most vulnerable children, as well as to those aimed at combating drugs. At the meeting, an idea was also voiced about the need for to establish the children's ombudsman in Belarus.

The parties need to move from mutual reproaches and demands towards active cooperation. This is what President Alexander Lukashenko said on July 6 meeting with a group of American congressmen from the largest delegation at the 26th session of the OSCE Parliamentary Session. The United States is represented by 35 people. Such interest cannot be called incidental, the head of state underlined.
