Meshkov Brest start with home victory in EHF Champions League group stage The Belarusian handball club Meshkov Brest (BGK) have successfully started in the new handball Champions League. The Brest team met with Polish Vive. The club from the town of Kielce was four points behind the hosts by the break and during the second half this gap did not change. 28:24 in favor of the BGK and good start of the European campaign. In the next match the Belarusian club travel to Paris to take on PSG in the Champions League on September 24.

Meshkov Brest defeat Slovenian Celje in SEHA League Handball players of the handball club Meshkov Brest (BGK) won against Slovenian Celje on the road 29:24 (14:15) in the SEHA League. The first half of the match in Slovenia was not in favor of Brest. In the second half of the game Sergei Bebeshko's Meshkov played much better in the attack and in the middle of the second half created a solid advantage which they did not give up until the end. The most productive player for the BGK was Petar Đorđić - 8 goals.

Brest Meshkov goes down to Tatran SEHA League round 1 Handball players of Brest's BGK named after Meshkov played the first official match of the new SEHA League season. In the starting round the club from the banks of the Bug River met with the Slovak Super Liga side Tatran from Prešov. None of the teams during the regular time could get a solid lead, and a draw would be the most fair result, perhaps. But in the last minute, the hosts scored the winning goal, and BGK could not reply - 24:23 in favor of Tatran.

Belarus get second victory in Euro 2018 handball qualification The men's national handball team of Belarus has won a second victory in the qualification of the European championship 2018. At the Uručča Sports Palace Yuri Shevtsov's Belarus confidently coped with Poland. Already by the break Poland were trailing by five points and by the end of the game Belarus' advantage reached nine - 32:23. On Sunday, the Belarusian and Polish teams will meet again in the qualification - this time Belarusians will travel to Płock.

Belarus knocked out of IHF World Men's Handball Championship 2017 The Belarusian national men's handball team were defeated in the last 16 of the IHF World Men's Handball Championship and were eliminated from the tournament. Coach Yuri Shevtsov’s Belarus met Sweden and did not have a chance in the match. The Belarusians were not able to impose any serious fight and by the second half the advantage of the Tre Cronor was already the impressive 13 points. The score at the end of the game was 41:22 in favor of the Swedes. Belarusians’ best striker was traditionally Artsem Karalek, with seven points on his tally.

Belarus into 2017 World Men's Handball Championship playoff The Belarus national handball team has advanced to the last 16 of the men's handball world championships after finishing their group in third place with only two wins. Belarusians managed to get into the playoff after winning against Hungary (27:25) in the final match of the group stage, though almost no one believed in such an outcome (so far Belarusians had never defeated the Hungarians).

Chile defeat Belarus at 2017 world handball championship The Belarusian handball players have lost their first match of the 2017 World Championship in France against Chile 28:32 (14:14). The match took place at Rouen on January 13. Head coach Yury Shevtsov's Belarus were the favorites. However, in the first half the teams did not reveal the winner, while in the second period, the Belarusian team did not manage to organize their attack properly. Chileans had a better ending of the match and in the end they even managed to go in front and pulled out a victory.

The athlete reported about his intention at the press conference in the morning on January 12. Sergei Rutenko boasts six wins in the EHF Champions League as well as a record transfer fee during his move to Barcelona in 2009. The Catalan club spent €1.2 million on the Belarusian handball player.

Handball player Siarhei Rutenka moves to Al-Qiyadah The legendary handball player Sergei Rutenko has decided to continue playing career and moved to the Qatari club Al-Qiyadah. Rutenko's agreement with the Middle Eastern team will last until the end of the season. At the new job, Sergei met with his old friends, such as the head coach of Al-Qiyadah Boris Denič, former head of Gorenje, RK Celje and the national team of Slovenia. Rutenko's latest club has been SKA Minsk. In autumn, Sergei trained independently to support his form and even mentioned about the possible end of career.

Belarus defeat Serbia in 2018 European Men's Handball Championship qualification The handball team of Belarus won their first victory in the 2018 European Handball Championship qualifying defeating the Serbian team away 36:27. After the home defeat against the Romanians (23:26) at the start of the competition, manager Yuri Shevtsov's Belarus desperately needed points. Belarusians coped with this task perfectly having shown a very confident performance against a strong opponent. Boris Pukhovsky became Belarus' top scorer with 8 points.

SKA Minsk reaches EHF Cup 3rd qualifying round The handball club SKA Minsk have made their way into the third qualifying round of the EHF Cup. After the away defeat at Austrian Hard (25:28), the vice-champions of Belarus revenged 31:25 (14:10) at the Uruchcha sports palace. Igor Papruga's men did well in the first half securing a comfortable lead and then brought their advantage to six points. The most productive was the winners became Nikita Vaylupov who scored 10 goals.

SKA Minsk handball club presents updated team The handball club SKA Minsk held a colorful team presentation ceremony for the new season in Gorky Park. Over the past summer the squad of the Belarusian vice-champions has undergone significant changes. The main one is on the coaching position - Spartak Mironovich was replaced by his younger colleague Igor Papruga. Spartak will continue working in the club but will hold a position of coach for scientific and methodical work.

The match in Skopje turned intriguing. At the beginning of the match Brest residents took the initiative in their hands, but the hosts were not going to tolerate this. As a result, the teams kept fans in suspense until the last minutes of the meeting. In the end Vardar had all the chances to win with minimal score. However, two seconds before the final whistle BGK prevented Macedonians from winning. The match ended with a score 34:34.

Belarus into 2017 World Men's Handball Championship Finals The men's national handball team of Belarus have reached the final stage of the 2017 World Championships winning against Latvia on aggregate in the last qualifier. In the second leg of the playoff in Valmiera coach Yuri Shevtsov's Belarus in an incredible battle lost to Latvians 26:28 (14:16). The first meeting, held in Minsk June 12, ended 26:24 in favor of Belarus. Despite the equal score after the two legs, it is Belarus who progressed to the World Championships finals thanks to a larger number of away goals.

2017 IHF Men's Handball Worlds qualification playoff 1st leg results The handball team of Belarus have made the first step to the Finals of the IHF World Championship 2017. In the home match at the Minsk Palace of Sports Uruchcha the Belarusians earned a hard victory 26:24. The teams were almost equal during the entire game but coach Yuri Shevtsov's Belarus eventually prevailed.  10 minutes before the final siren Belarusians were left without their captain Sergei Rutenko, but did grab control of the match. Sergey Rutenko scored 10 while Boris Pukhovsky 5 and Maxim Baranov 4.

Romania, Norway secure 2016 EHF Euro spots, Belarus almost without chance The handball team of Belarus has lost to Norway in the penultimate match of the qualifying tournament of the Women's EHF Euro 2016. The guests dominated against Belarus at the Uruchye Palace of Sport. The current champions of the Olympic Games, World and European champions were ahead 15:9 by the break. In the second half, the course of the game did not change and the northern European team confidently won 32:22. In the other qualifier in the group Romania overpowered Lithuania in Kaunas 34:24 (20:10).

Brest Meshkov wins Belarus handball championship for eighth time HC Meshkov Brest for the eighth time became the champion of Belarus. Coach Sergei Bebeshko's Meshkov Brest won at home against their opponents from SKA 27:26 (13:14) in the third match of the final series for gold medals. In the two previous games, the Brest side were also stronger, 32:30 and 33:26. In the bronze series, Gomel prevailed over Grodno's Kronon 40:24, 34:31 and 31:26. The top scorer of the handball season in Belarus was Andrei Yashchenko from Gomel.

Meshkov Brest miss out on SEHA League bronze The Belarusian handball club Meshkov Brest took 4th place in the final round of the SEHA League, which took place in Varazdin, Croatia. In the fight for bronze the Brest residents gave way to the hosts of the tournament Zagreb. Meshkov Brest v Zagreb 23:24 (14:13) April 3. Varazdin. Varazdin Arena After the semi-final defeat against Veszprem the Brest club were to play for bronze with the hosts of the Final Four tournament.  BGK had some squad problems, with only 9 players available for the bronze-medal match.

HC Brest Meshkov to take on Veszprem in SEHA League semifinal HC Meshkov Brest (BGK), in the last match of the regular season of the SEHA League lost at home to FYR Macedonian Vardar. The game did not have a tournament value for the clubs. However, the match was memorable. The Macedonian squad arrived in Brest, to put it mildly, in incomplete squad. The roster for the game included only 7 field players and 2 goalkeepers. Despite a very short bench, Vardar put up a strong-willed fight. In the first half, the teams played on equal terms.

Belarus in sporting events: 21-27 March 2016 The national football team of Belarus have gathered for the first time since the beginning of 2016. Friday's friendly match against the Armenians in Yerevan ended in a goalless draw. Belarus will take on Montenegro in Podgorica March 29. The U21 team of Belarus last weekend also played a friendly match. The younger generation has gone on a visit to the western neighbors to test their strength. However, the test showed that young footballers from Poland are stronger than their counterparts from Belarus, 3-0.

SKA Minsk lose to Winterthur in EHF Cup group stage The handball club SKA Minsk unsuccessfully finished the penultimate match of the EHF Cup group stage. In the away match of the 5th round in Group C the vice-champions of Belarus lost to Swiss Winterthur 24:32 (11:16). Scoring in this game for SKA were Vladislav Kulesh (10), Alexander Potsykaylik, Artem Korolek (4), Alexander Bochko (2), Ivan Brovko, Nikita Vaylupov, Vyacheslav Bokhan and Alexander Podosinov - (one each). In the first round, SKA Minsk beat the Swiss at home 31:27.

Belarus' sporting events next week (14-20 March) BGK Meshkov hold on Saturday the first match of the 1/8 finals of the EHF Champions League. Opponents are Poland's strongest squad Vive-Kielce. In the EHF CL group stage the Polish club took second place behind Barcelona. The first leg takes place in Brest at 19:00 Belarus time.

Belarus in sporting events (March 7-13) The women's national handball team of Belarus last week played two matches of the European Championship qualification. Both were against Lithuania and both went well. On Wednesday, the team of the Slovenian coach Tomaz Cater ensured the victory in Kaunas 29:21. Then, in Minsk, Belarus also celebrated a victory 38:35. However, to beat the Lithuanians was not a hard task but what will be with the favorites, Norway and Romania? To win there is a task of quite a different level. Belarus will try to resolve this task at the beginning of June.

The competition called Wolodyjowski Saber Fencing Tournament was held in Warsaw. In the semifinal, the Belarusian saber fencer lost to the winner Bongil Gu of Korea - 10:15.

Meshkov Brest book Final 4 place in SEHA League HC Meshkov Brest (BGK) beat Serbian Spartak from Subotica in a routine away game and guaranteed a place in the Final 4 of the SEHA League. In the first half of the match the Brest club faced difficulties. For almost 30 minutes BGK was on a par with the team that was 9th in the tournament table. Just before the whistle for a break the Brest side could secure a small gap 18:16.

HC Meshkov Brest rise to 3rd place in SEHA League HC Meshkov Brest (BGK) defeated away Bosnian Borac from Banja Luka in the SEHA League. The Brest handball players started the game in a not very confident manner. Perhaps, the Brest team were affected by the travel from Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina.  In the first ten minutes, it was Borac who held possession. Initially, the BGK goalkeeper Ivan Pesic had no luck in the game by not being able to repel a single ball. Then he was replaced by Vitaly Cherepenko. At that time, field players came to their senses too.

In the first round match in Group C, Belarus' vice-champions beat on their arena guests from the Swiss Winterthur 31:27 (17:13). Vladislav Kulesh was the most productive player for the Minsk side scoring 9 goals.  In another match of this group Denmark's Bjerringbro-Silkeborg today will host the French Saint-Raphael.

Belarus' sporting events from 10 to 14 February 2016 The Belarus national hockey team is preparing for a friendly tournament in Slovakia. 17 players have been called up for the training camp. They mainly represent the domestic Belarusian championship.  Some players of HC Dinamo Minsk, the KHL side, also joined the team. In Zilina, Belarus will take on Slovakia and Switzerland.

Belarus in sporting events: 1-7 February 2016 The Belarus national tennis team have entered the playoffs World Group of the Fed Cup. In the second division, the girls needed all five matches to decide on the playoff spot's fate. Belarus won against Canada 3:2 in the end. At the same time, Belarus were 1:2 behind at one point and it seemed that everything is going to end quickly. Especially effective, however, was Alexandra Sasnovich, who won two singles matches and one doubles, together with Olga Govortsova, who lost both her singes ties.

The meeting was the fourth for the teams this season. Earlier in the Champions League group stage, BGK was stronger on both occasions but in a home game of the SEHA League, the Brest club suddenly gave way to the Slovakians. Coach Sergei Bebeshko's side went to Slovakia for revenge.

Belarus go down to Poland at Men's European Handball Championships The handball team of Belarus have lost to Poland in the main round of the Men's European Handball Championship. In a duel with the hosts of the continental championship, coach Yuri Shevtsov's charges in Krakow fought on equal terms against Poland in the first half but by the break the advantage of the Poles rose to six goals, 19:13. In the second half, Belarusians played without their captain Sergei Rutenko, who was injured at the beginning of the match. Eventually, Belarus lost to Poland 27:32.

Belarus outplay Iceland in historic match at 2016 EHF European Men's Handball Championship The Belarus national handball team have sensationally beaten Iceland in a group stage match of the EHF European Championship in Poland, 39:38 (17:18). This game was the highest-scoring in the history of the tournament. Before the start of the second half there was an equal game on the court but then the Icelanders made a breakthrough and led with a score of 24:20. However, Belarus instantly equalized, and again the match turned into a tag game.

Review of Belarus' sports events (December 21-27) HC Dinamo Minsk spend two games in the KHL. First, they visited Bratislava, where they played the fourth match of the season against Slovan. The White-Blues did not get anything from that game losing 2-4. From the Slovak capital Dinamo headed for the Croatian main city but also lost. Andrei Kovalev's club twice led against Zagreb's Medveščak but lost in overtime 2-3. Belarus U20 started the World Championship in Helsinki with two defeats.

For example, SKA Minsk has managed to get into the group stage of the EHF (European Handball Federation) Cup. Fans may remember that SKA Minsk had no match in the 1980s. General Director of HC SKA Minsk Pavel Galkin remembers those times too and he is directly involved in HC SKA club management today.

They only learn the basics of  handball, how to hold and dribble the ball, find positions on a playground and work until the end in each game situation. November 23-29: Belarus sporting events review Vadim Streltsov is the world champion in weightlifting. The Belarusian won in the category of up to 94kg. In the first exercise, he lifted only 175kg and 6th intermediate place. However, in the clean and jerk, Streltsov narrowed the gap, but also stepped into first place. Its total amount is 407 kilogram. Belarusian trampoline jumpers brought  from a world championship in Denmark six awards. In the team competition, women took silver and men scooped bronze.

Belarus sporting events review: 10-16 November 2015 HC Dinamo Minsk played four home games within a week in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). It was difficult to play all the matches in one breath, but Dinamo managed to save face. The results are quite mixed: Dinamo 1-4 Medvescak; Dinamo 2-1 Slovan; Dinamo Minsk 1-2 Dinamo Moscow; Dinamo 3-2 Vityaz.

HC Meshkov Brest go down to Zagreb in SEHA League The Brest handball club named after Meshkov in the third round of SEHA League lost to Croatian Zagreb at home. By the end of the first half the score was 12-12, with the Croatian side looking better throughout the game. In the second half Meshkov Brest were again behind.  Coach Sergei Bebeshko's side made a number of unforced errors, which did not allow them to put up a fight against Zagreb. As a result, the BGK lost 21:24.

HC Meshkov Brest begins SEHA League season with home win The Brest handball club named after Meshkov (Meshkov Brest) began the season in the SEHA League with a home victory over the debutants of the tournament. BGK hosted at the Brest Palace of Sports Victoria the second-ranked team of the Serbian championship - Spartak from Subotica. The Belarusians were the better side all over the match and eventually won 40:28. Three points for BGK at the start of the season is a good achievement. Despite winning coach of the Brest handball club Sergei Bebeshko was not entirely pleased with his players.

Germany stops Belarus in 2015 Junior Handball World Championship quarterfinals in Brazil The Belarus junior handball team (U21) have been knocked out of the World Championships in Brazil in the quarterfinals. The Belarusians succumbed to a 37:43 defeat at the hands of Germany (17:19 at HT). Both teams played poorly in defense, which is evidenced by the 80 goals. The top three scorers in the Belarusian squad were Artem Korolyok (9 goals), Nikita Vaylupov (6) and Gleb Garbuz (5).

Belarus junior handball team progress to World Championship quarterfinal The handball team of Belarus in overtime defeated Qatar and reached the quarterfinals of the Junior World Championship in Brazil. Qatar v Belarus 35:36 (16:15, 31:31). In the 1/4 finals, Oleg Shareiko's side will meet Germany. Belarusians finished in group stage (Group A) in second place won four victories and suffered only one defeat against the Swedes.

Belarus to take on Qatar in 2015 Men's Junior World Handball Championship round of 16 The Belarusian junior handball team did not leave a chance to the last opponent in the group stage of the world championship. Oleg Shareiko's side defeated peers from Paraguay 49:16.  Thus, Belarusians finished second in his sextet, behind Sweden. On July 28 our juniors will take on Qatar in the round of 16. Other most awaited matches of this stage include the ties Spain v Russia, Brazil v Denmark and France v Norway.

Belarus win in opening game of 2015 Men's Junior World Handball Championship The 2015 Men's Junior World Handball Championship is now underway in Brazil. Belarus played their first match against the Netherlands. The final score 37:25 in favor of Belarus fully reflects the balance of power on the court. In Group C, Belarus will also play against Russia, Paraguay, Tunisia and Sweden. It it Swedes who Belarusians will take on in the second match. Sweden won in their opener against Tunisia. The game against Sweden is due on July 22.

Belarus holds last home friendly before 2015 Men's Junior World Handball Championship By the end of the week the U21 national handball team of Belarus will go to the Handball World Championships in Brazil. On July 14, the Belarusian team held their last home friendly. These guys want to become part of the senior national team in the future. But to accomplish this mission, they have to work hard and win at the World Championships.   Belarus held pre-tournament friendlies against Russia in the past two days. Russians lost both games.

HC Meshkov Brest fall to Veszprem in SEHA League final The handball club Meshkov Brest (Belarus) did not manage to win the grand prize of the SEHA League. The handball team of coach Zeljko Babic, BGK, were crushed by Hungary's Veszprém 21:32. The meeting was held at the venue of the Hungarian club. The BGK played in SEHA League final for the second year in a row. Last season, the Brest side lost to the Macedonian handball Vardar in the final.

HC Meshkov Brest reach SEHA League final The handball club Meshkov Brest (BGK) are in the final of the SEHA League. In the semifinal, the Brest side saw off Macedonian Vardar.  Already after the first half of the semifinal duel, Belarusians were five points ahead of the opponents. This fact left very little room for optimism for the Balkan team. By the end of the second half, the Balkan team slightly reduced the gap but the result remained unchanged. 32:28 and the BGK are preparing for the final, where they will face Hungary's Veszprem.

Meshkov Brest crush Macedonia's Metalurg 26:17 in SEHA League The Brest handball club named  after Meshkov concluded the regular SEHA season.  In the final match of the 18th tour, in Skopje, the champions of Belarus defeated Macedonian defeated Metalurg 26:17. The result of this game was not of fundamental importance for BGK. They long ago secured their place in the top six, which will let them compete for awards.  The defeat of the hosts deprived them of chances for the final stage of the International League.

Meshkov Brest beat Macedonia's Metalurg in SEHA League Brest Meshkov have beaten Macedonian Metalurg in the SEHA League match of the group stage. This victory allowed the Belarusians to continue fight for the right to get out of the group.  The game was very tough. Despite the starting the gap the hosts did not avoid a nervous ending. But by the final siren, the scoreboard read 25:23 in favor of the Brest side. BGK's Janko Bozovic netted five times becoming a top scorer.  In the standings, the Belarusian club is 5th having the same number of points with Zagreb and Tatran Presov.

Meshkov Brest lose to Macedonia's Vardar in SEHA League HC Meshkov Brest have suffered a fourth defeat in a match of the Southeast Handball Association (SEHA League). Most of the first half of the away match against Macedonian Vardar Brest handball players were in the lead, having gone to the break with a tie - 13:13. Vardar were behind at the end of the game but eventually celebrated a 28:25 victory. Vardar, in seven home games of the this SEHA League season won seven victories. In the game of the first round, Brest Meshkov managed to beat Vardar in Brest 30:22.

Today, the handball team Meshkov Brest will hold the first of the two away games. They will meet Macedonian Vardar in Skopje.  In the game of the first round of the SEHA League, Belarus' champions from Brest outplayed the Macedonian side 30:22.

Belarus 18th at 2015 World Men's Handball Championship The Belarus men's handball team finished the World Championship in Qatar in 18th place.  The last battle against the Czech Republic was very stubborn - and the teams drew the two halves 28:28.   The Czechs were very close to snatching victory at the end. After their shot, the ball crossed the line but it was already after the final siren. But, as it turned out, for the Belarusians, it was only a postponement of defeat.

Belarus U21 into 2015 Men's World Handball Championship Finals In the last match of the qualifying tournament for the U21 Men's World Championship 2015 in Kosovo on January 11, the Belarusian national handball team defeated rivals from Switzerland 27:25 (score at HT 14:12). In the other two qualifiers, Belarus also won against Montenegro (31:25) and Kosovo (35:25). The final standings in the 5th qualifying group: 1. Belarus - 6 points (3 matches) 2. Switzerland - 4 (3) 3. Montenegro - 2 (3) 4. Kosovo - 0 (3).

Belarus beat Montenegro, Kosovo in 2015 Men's World Championship (U21) The Belarus handball team (U21) triumphantly started the qualifying tournament for the 2015 Men's World Championship. In the first match of the 5th qualification group in Gjakova (Kosovo) on January 9, coach Oleg Shareyko's Belarus beat Montenegro 31:25 (16:11). Belarusian Gleb Garbuz top-scored with 11 goals. In the other match of the day, Switzerland hammered Kosovo 35:21 (17:10).

Belarus handball team suffers defeats in Yellow Cup The Belarusian men's handball team became the last at the 43rd international tournament Yellow Cup in Switzerland (January 2-4). Yuri Shevtsov's team suffered three defeats in three games: from Tunisia - 30:34 (first half - 17:14), Switzerland - 25:26 (12:10) and Slovakia - 29:34 (14:15). Final standings: Tunisia - 6 points (goal difference 88-81), Switzerland - 4 (81-80), Slovakia - 2 (90-88), Belarus - 0 (84-94).

Belarus handball team starts in Yellow Cup Today on January 15, the Belarusian national men's handball team starts in an international tournament Yellow Cup in Winterthur, Switzerland. Belarus will meet Tunisia today late in the evening, then play against Switzerland on January 3, and will complete the tournament meeting with Slovakia on January 4. Belarusians became winners of the two previous tournaments in Winterthur. Returning from Switzerland, the Belarusians will make final preparations for the 24th Men's Handball World Championship, which starts in Qatar on January 15.

Domracheva voted Sportswoman of the Year in Belarus The newspaper Sportivnaya Panorama has summed up the traditional voting to determine the winners of the sports year in Belarus. The poll among sports journalists from print and electronic media has been held for the 56th time. Some 106 respondents voted for the best athletes of the year, the best coach and the two teams (in playing and non-playing sports).  Three-time Sochi Olympic champion Darya Domracheva became the best. She was 181 points ahead of the nearest competitor.

HC Meshkov Brest extends unbeaten run in SEHA League The handball club Meshkov Brest have extended their winning streak in the SEHA League to four matches.  The Belarusian champion got another victory in Zagreb, against the Croatian club PPD Zagreb 24:21, on December 16. Janko Bozovic became top scorer for Brest with 26 goals. With this victory, the BGK moved to 4th place in the SEHA League standings. HC Meshkov Brest have 24 points after 10 games and are equal on points with Zagreb and 9 points behind table toppers MKB-MVM Veszprem from Hungary.

RK Borac 31:36 Meshkov Brest The Belarusian handball club Meshkov Brest (BGK) beat RK Borac in Banja Luka in the SEHA-League on December 10.  Outsiders Borac put up a good performance against the visitors but after the starting 15 minutes the Brest side were three points ahead (9:6) and controlled the match. It should be noted that BGK coach Zeljko Babic rested a couple of his leaders.

HC Meshkov Brest draw second consecutive Champions League tie HC Meshkov Brest’s ended in a draw their away match against HC Metalurg Skopje in the 8th round of the EHF Champions League group stage. It’s the Belarusian team’s second draw in a row. HC Metalurg (Skopje, Macedonia) - HC Meshkov Brest (Brest, Belarus) - 27:27 (first half - 12:14) Most of the match, the team from Brest dominated the rival. The end of match was more successful for the hosts (27:26). But 3 seconds before the final siren, Serbian Nikola Manojlovic saved HC Meshkov from defeat (27:27).

Slovenia stop Belarus in World Handball Championship 2015 qualification The women's national handball team of Belarus have not got into the playoffs of the World Handball Championship 2015 qualification. Today in Zurich, Belarus lost to Slovenia 33:35 (18:17) in the last group match of the qualifying campaign. In the first half, the Belarusian handball team played a little bit better than their rivals. However, after the break, Slovenia upped pace and possessed the ball more winning the game and getting out of the qualifying group.
