The team of manager Igor Kriushenko started the friendly with a new line-up. Only Sergei Politevich was left from the squad that a few days ago lost to Sweden 0:4. The visa-free regime was adopted on February 12, 2017. Visitors may make only a 5-day visit to Belarus for now. However, longer term may be introduced soon. Alena Syrova has the story. One of the first to visit Belarus was a Chinese Lee Yen from Abu Dhabi, while the first sportsman to visit the country was an English Liverpool halfback Wade Maxwell.

Kevin Kurányi in talks with Belarus' Dinamo Brest? Famous German footballer Kevin Kuranyi could sign a contract with FC Dinamo Brest. The 34-year-old striker is already in the team and participated in their training, according to by.tribuna.com. Kuranyi previously played for such famous clubs as Stuttgart, Schalke 04 and Dinamo Moscow. In 384 games for the teams he scored 161 goals. However, last season the striker played 14 matches for Hoffenheim-1899 and did not score. It is therefore not surprising that in the summer of last year, Kevin Kuranyi was left without a club.

Belarus U21 draw vs Netherlands U21 in UEFA European Championships qualifier The Belarusian U21 team remains in 3rd place in their Group 8 after drawing the score with the Dutch team (2:2). The match with the Netherlands took place in Minsk, and Belarus got two goals thanks to Pavel Savitski. He opened the score from the penalty spot in the 18th minute and he scored one more goal on the 79th minute. However, the guests managed to score two goals as well.

Women's Germany U17 win UEFA Euro 2016 in Belarus The 9th UEFA European championship among girls (U17) finished with a victory of the German football team. In the final match for the gold of the continental championship Germans defeated opponents from Spain in a penalty shootout at Borisov Arena. The regular time ended in a draw, 0:0. In the penalty shootout, Germany were luckier to win 3:2. The German goalie repelled two penalties in the shootout.

Spain to face Germany in UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship Final in Borisov Today Borisov-Arena will play host to the final of the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship Final in which Spain meet Germany. The current final between Spanish and German football players in this age group will be the third. In both previous meetings Germany won: in 2009 they defeated Spain 7:0, while in 2014 the normal time ended 1:1 but in the penalty shootout Germany again prevailed 3:1.

Belarus supports Infantino in FIFA presidential election The Belarusian Football Federation (ABFF) will support the candidature of the FIFA general secretary Gianni Infantino in the upcoming FIFA presidential election, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Sergei Safaryan told media. Mr Safaryan noted that since the beginning of the scandalous events, with the removal of the heads of FIFA and UEFA Belarus supported Michel Platini, but after the Frenchman was forced to withdraw his candidacy, the country decided to vote in favor of Infantino, who has already presented his program.

Brave Belarus outgunned by Spain 0-1 in Euro 2016 qualifier Belarus were defeated 0-1 in the home Euro 2016 qualifying match by the reigning champions of the continent Spain.
