Belarusian team takes rhythmic gymnastics bronze in group exercises at European Games The first set of awards in rhythmic gymnastics has been contested at the Baku European Games. In the all-around group exercises, the national team of Belarus won bronze in the all-around. In the first routine with five ribbons Belarusians showed only seventh result, earning 16.950 points.  But in the exercises with clubs and hoops Belarusians were brilliant, earning the top spot - 17.900, making the total score 34.850. It allowed them to take third step on the podium. 
Victoria Chaika of Belarus wins bronze in 10m air pistol shooting Belarusian shooter Victoria Chaika won the bronze medal in 10m air pistol shooting. The final result showed Viktor Chaika 177.4 points. The Serbian athlete Zorana Arunovic (199.5) won gold while Spain's Sonia Franquet (196.3).  Later, men will define the best athlete in the same discipline. Two Belarusians - Vitaly Kudi and Yevgeny Zaichik - will take part.

Video: Bogdanovich brothers win Belarus' first gold at European Games in Baku Canoeists Andrei and Alexander Bogdanovich won the first gold medal for the national team of Belarus at the European games. Belarusians won the final race in the C2 1000m in 3:34.412. Belarusians went forward only at the end of the race and left behind Russians Ilya Pervukhin and Alexei Korovashkov, who took second place (3:34.453) and bronze medalists Germans Peter Kretschmer and Michael Mueller (3:34.982).  This is the first gold medal for Belarus at the first ever European Games in Baku.
