The head of state focused on the beginning of the sowing campaign in Belarus and in the region. Speaking about spring field work, the President demanded to cultivate crops only using fertilizers. By the way, the head of state was shown Belarusian equipment for applying mineral and organic substances.

Belarus may adopt market model of unemployment insurance
The market model of unemployment insurance may be introduced in Belarus. The proposal comes from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Thus, people who lose their jobs will be able to count on a high allowance during the first six months.
Payouts are supposed to equal 60% of the average salary at the last job the person had.
Labor in Belarus needs good PR and marketing specialist
Local authorities will help all the unemployed with finding a job. Such tasks were set for regional, district and city executive committees. However, Gomel region authorities are planning to do a lot more. Jobs will be advertised there. President Lukashenko on decree No3, dialogue between authorities and people and Belarus-Russia relations
While different kinds of managers, politicians and ordinary Belarusians wondered and fantasized and, perhaps, were waiting for the situation to resolve, the President decided not cut the Gordian knot of Decree No3 but gently pulled the necessary strings to untie it. It so happened to the good intentions of decree number 3 - to stimulate those who are out of work, to restore justice in terms of the distribution of social benefits - were not able to live with the current economic reality. And, strictly speaking, the document is not economic or financial.
Social dependency fee payments delayed until 2018 on Belarus President's order

First "silent checkouts" open in Belarus

Will trust management replace privatization in Belarus?
Belarus may introduce the institution of trust management of enterprises. On February 9, the Government presented the new legislative initiative to the President. Its meaning is simple. Unprofitable plants, factories and state-owned agricultural farms will be given to private investors temporarily (for five years).

Belarus President changes “social parasites” list
The list of persons who are obliged to participate in the financing of public expenditures was changed in Belarus. The President amended the decree on the prevention of social dependency.
Participants of the national sports teams and alternative servants in the army are now exempt from the so-called 'social dependency' tax.
The unemployed who are sent to retraining are excempt only if there are no complaints about them at universities.
'Social dependency' law in Belarus proves effectiveness?
A quarter of a century has passed since the collapse of the USSR. The Viskuli agreement was signed December 8, 1991. And we will not leave this topic without attention today either. But first, let me remind you that in the USSR, there was an article of the Criminal Code for social parasitism. People call parasites those who don't work. The state defines this phenomenon as social dependency.
Belarus may abolish 'social parasite' law if it proves ineffective
The decree on the prevention of social dependency will remain in force, but the identified deficiencies will be removed from it. The first results of the fight against parasitism in Belarus were summed up on December 6 at the meeting hosted by the head of state.
The Government has made proposals to amend the document. At the moment, 9,500 people have paid the 'fee for unemployed'.
4,000 did it voluntarily, after the document came into force. In total, 73,000 notices were sent to Belarusians.
Belarus overhauling trade unions system
Belarus is modernizing trade unions that are members of the Belarusian Federation of Trade Unions (FPB).
A decision on the need to merge the related organizations was made at 7th FPB Congress in 2015.
This will enable the organization to more effectively solve problems. In addition, it allows exchanging professional knowledge. In 2016, trade unions in industry, energy, transport and forestry were merged.
The next step is the unification of structures in the Belarus Armed Forces.
Belarus mulling over salary compensation fund for workers of bankrupt enterprises
The Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FTU) proposes to establish a fund for the compensation of salaries to workers of bankrupt enterprises. The draft plan is going to be adopted in 2018.
The Council of the Fund will consider all cases individually and determine the size of cash payments.
The FTU believes that the introduction of insurance against loss of earnings would improve the social protection of workers and guarantee payments.
Amended law on employment comes into force on October 24 in Belarus
Unemployed people will be obliged to look for a job on their own. Employer will have to tell about job openings during 5 days. On October 24, a new amendment of the law on employment will be introduced in Belarus. The document involves the stricter punishment for breaking the law.
The period when a person can be unemployed is two times less. It was reduced from 36 to 18 months.
Alexander Lukashenko visits special boarding school No13 in Minsk September 1
How to help children with disabilities adapt and remain on equal footing with others was among the main topics of the Belarus President's September 1 visit to boarding school No13 in Minsk. On Day of Knowledge, the institution visited by the head of state.
Today, this school is attended by 120 children with hearing impairment. All necessary conditions are created for them allowing the children to get exactly the same high school education as in regular schools.
Patent for self-employed in Belarus: new approach to creative business and impetus for economic activity

Students from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus are helping to renovate Dinamo Stadium in Minsk. All in all, there are 35 students employed. Many of these guys worked here in the past year.

Why did Belarus need Directive No1 on strengthening of labor discipline in 2004?
The so-called Directive No1 sets out basic points of the rule of law, order and labor discipline. The document has been in force for over 10 years.
It was signed in March 2004 by President Lukashenko.
There were a lot of prerequisites for the signing of that document back then. Among the major ones were:
failure to comply with fire safety requirements;
death under circumstances not related to occupational hazard;
neglect of safety precautions;
violation of labor discipline.
Belarus President's Directive No.1 on strengthening public safety and discipline may be updated
New measures to strengthen public safety and discipline. The President's directive, adopted back in 2004, may be updated. On August 6, a meeting was hosted by the Belarusian head of state on the feasibility of adopting a new document or making amendments to the existing one.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, the document, if adopted, should be specific and not contain formalism.
