Belarus and Russia should work together to increase the competitiveness of their economies, said Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov.

Belarus' ATMs to be out of function on July 1 redenomination day
The National Bank said that ATMs in Belarus will be out of function on July 1 because of the re-denomination. It was announced that software update will be underway the whole day.
Also, banks have received a recommendation to use banknotes worth 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 rubles to load ATMs. The largest one - worth 500 rubles - will be available in banks only upon request.

Every third working Belarusian has higher education

According to the chairman of the Supreme Court, the burden on economic courts has increased significantly and is now higher than that on general jurisdiction couts. In this regard, Mr Sukalo proposed to transfer part of general jurisdiction judges to economic courts.

On May 1, the refinancing rate in Belarus decreased by 2 points to 22%. Such a move has been made possible thanks to the stabilization of the ruble exchange rate and inflation.

Eurasian Economic Union Court moves to Minsk
A new step in the Eurasian integration has been made. Belarus signed an agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union at the Foreign Ministry in Minsk on 29 April.
The document regulates the work of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union in Belarus. The court will consider claims of member states if, in their opinion, union bodies adopt a wrongful decision on an issue.
Minimum subsistence budget to be increased in Belarus from May 1
Pensions and childbirth benefits are to be increased in Belarus. The government announced that the living wage budget will be increased from 1 May, 2016. It is considered to be a basis for the calculation of different social payments.
The last time when the living wage was increased was in March 2016.
Taking into account the regular reassessment, the raise will sum up to 7 per cent.
The new minimum consumer budget of Belarus will be set at the beginning of May 2016.
Belarus wins half of 2016 CIS Quality Award prizes
