Premier: Belarus government's main task is to restore economic growth in H2 2015 The main task of the government in the second half of 2015 will be to restore economic growth, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov told reporters. Mr Kobyakov said that much will depend on external factors in trade. If they are no worse than those already existing, the government expects a noticeable revival of the economy and its adaptation to external factors. "We hope that we will get economic growth even though it may be small," said the Prime Minister.

The so-called Directive No1 sets out basic points of the rule of law, order and labor discipline. The document has been in force for over 10 years. It was signed in March 2004 by President Lukashenko. There were a lot of prerequisites for the signing of that document back then. Among the major ones were: failure to comply with fire safety requirements; death under circumstances not related to occupational hazard; neglect of safety precautions; violation of labor discipline.

Andrei Kobyakov said that the situation on foreign markets is not easy, which slowed down GDP growth. Nevertheless, Belarus continues to honor its international obligations.

Belarus harvests fourth million tons of grain They are not afraid of hot weather. Belarusian agrarians have harvested four million tons of grain. Nearly half of all designated areas has been harvested. The Brest region is among the leaders. However, the other five regions of Belarus plan to harvest not less than one million tons of grain. The Minsk region is close to this mark.  The Grodno and Mogilev regions have cropped 0.5 mln tons. Vitebsk farmers started to harvest later than the others. Their result for now is more than 260 thousand tons of grain.

National Bank: Inflation in Belarus will not exceed 16% This year, inflation in Belarus will not exceed 16 percent. This is the forecast of National Bank chairman Paul Kallaur. Since the beginning of 2015 the figure has stood at about 8 percent. Therefore, there are all prerequisites that this forecast will be relity by the year end. By 2020, experts expect to reduce inflation to 5 percent. This figure determines the improvement of business activity.

Ukraine to receive next tranche of financial aid from IMF Ukraine will receive the next tranche of financial aid from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).  The amount is 17.5 billion dollars. The country has long been on the verge of default. Ukraine's state debt is about $70 billion and $40mln of them is the foreign debt. The four-year program of financial aid to Ukraine was approved by the IMF Board of Directors on March 11. Almost at the same time Kiev received the first tranche of five billion dollars. In 2015, Ukraine expects to receive $10 billion.

On July 17 chairman of Minsk city executive committee Andrei Shorets reported to the President on the current state of affairs at the company. The meeting was attended by the head of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov. Recently, the plant was headed by new CEO Nikolai Ladutko. Currently, the anti-crisis solutions are being worked out for further operation of Motovelo.
President Timofti invites MTZ Director General to visit Moldova On July 17 the delegation headed by the President of Moldova visited Belarusian industrial giants. First on the list was the MTZ works. Belarus and Germany to open yeast plant in Slutsk A new export-oriented enterprise is about to open in Belarus' Slutsk. The yeast factory is a joint Belarusian-German project.  Its produce will be delivered to Ukraine, Russia, and the countries of Western Europe. The production capacity in the first phase will be 20 million tons of yeast per year. In the future, the management plans to increase it threefold. The construction of the new enterprise will cost over 30 million euros.  For now the construction is on schedule.  The enterprise will provide a hundred people with jobs.

Development Bank of Belarus gets 118 million euro loan from Russian, European counterparts The Development Bank of Belarus got a large loan from Russian and European counterparts. The price of the issue is 118 million euros. Financing the syndicated loan are over 10 financial institutions. This type of lending is fairly new for our country. This is the second such transaction but experts believe that Belarus' entrance to the international market for such loans will push for development and other forms of financial cooperation between the Belarusian, Russian and European banks.
