CSTO joint efforts in combating emergencies prove effective
Belarus to train to handle radiation accidents at Astravyets NPP Joint efforts of the CSTO countries in the liquidation of emergency situations have made it possible to achieve high results. Plans for further development of cooperation were discussed October 17 at the Coordination Council in Minsk. In addition to annual exercises, such mutual assistance mechanisms are actively developing, such as training of personnel, preferential supplies of special equipment and facilities, and interaction with international organizations.

CSTO countries holding Combat Brotherhood-2017 military drills The CSTO states are holding large-scale military drills “Combat Brotherhood-2017”. Belarusian military men left for the place of the maneuvers on October 5. From this day on special military operations will be conducted at the ranges in Armenia. The participants of the exercises are to master the issues of organizing cooperation and preparing the regions at the initial stage.

CSTO exercise Combat Brotherhood 2017 to begin October 3
CSTO exercise Combat Brotherhood 2017 to begin October 3 The operational-strategic exercise of the CSTO "Combat Brotherhood-2017" will be held from 3 to 20 October. The CSTO countries intend to work out the strategy of the joint operation to localize an armed conflict. Organizers note that the maneuvers will be held in the Caucasus and Central Asian regions of collective security, as the Belarusian-Russian exercise "West-2017" was recently held in the Eastern European zone of CSTO responsibility. The upcoming maneuvers will involve 12,000 troops.

After THE meeting with the President the participants of the dialogue headed for the Foreign Ministerial meeting. A range of announcements was made. The sides confirmed the intention to cooperate in the border security sector.
