Collection of Chinese poetry translated into Belarusian presented in Minsk "The wisdom of silent mountains of the silent" is the title of a new book of the series "Light Signs: Poets of China". The idea of ​​creating the collection is to get Belarusians familiar with the culture of China. More than a hundred poems by Chinese poets were translated into the Belarusian language. The book was presented at the House of Friendship in Minsk. In the near future, the Culture Center of Belarus will open in Beijing, which will promote Belarusian art.

Belarus says farewell to Mai Dantsig Belarus said farewell to the People's Artist of Belarus Mai Dantsig. He was one of the brightest representatives of Belarusian art over the last 50 years. Mai Dantig was referred to as maestro of austere style. He does not only have landscapes in his collection, but there are portraits of Vasil Bykov, Ales Adamovich and other famous Belarusians as well. He died aged 86 and left a whole era of Belarusian art behind him.

Hundreds of Belarusians take part in volunteer cleanup in Kurapaty March 25 A competition on the design of a memorial in Kurapaty was announced in Belarus on March 25, 2017. Hundreds of Belarusians came to the historic place to simply clean the territory up. As many as 20 hectares of land will be cleared of dead tree stands and bushes through joint efforts of non-indifferent people. The raised money will go towards installing a memorial sign here. In the course of the next couple of days a charity fund will be opened, to which funds can also be transferred.

Belarusian National History Museum presents restored chasuble The National History Museum has presented the restored chasuble of the beginning of the 19th century. The finding is unique, because one part of the Catholic priest's vestment is sewn from several fragments of the world famous Slutsk belts, Belarus' hallmark. The restoration of the valuable exhibit has been made possible through a presidential grant. It took experts over a year to restore the silk fabrics. The historical discovery came to the museum in 2008. The original owner of the Catholic priest vestments is unknown.
