Nottingham mayor takes part in Minsk City Day celebrations Thousands of families and guests of Minsk enjoyed the cool day! Official celebrations started on the morning of September 9 at the stela "Minsk - Hero City". Flowers and wreaths to the obelisk came from Minsk city administration and public organizations. Many words of gratitude sounded in remembrance of those who made our life peaceful, and thanks to whom the Belarusian capital became a truly beloved by millions. Representatives of twin towns and partner cities from 12 countries came to Minsk to participate in festive events.

British museums donate exhibits to Belarus' Museum of Great Patriotic War The Great Patriotic War museum now has new exhibits, like the uniform of the Irish shooter. The outfit, sewn in 1940, is completely genuine. This was the uniform used by Irish and British soldiers during the Second World War. It is also noteworthy that Belarusian soldiers who fought on the Western Front also wore this form, but had their own distinctive features.

Space electronics book by Belarusian authors to be released in London in English
Belarusians' Space Electronics book to be released in English in London American and British experts in space technology will be able to adopt Belarusian experience.  A book on space electronics written by Belarusian authors will be the basis for the training of foreign students.  The book will be released in English in London in November 2017. In the future, the work will be translated into other languages. The book summarizes the experience of the Belarusian company Integral in designing chips for space equipment.

Prince Michael of Kent visits memorial complex Khatyn Prince Michael of Kent continues his visit to Belarus. On October 12 the relative of the royal dynasty visited the memorial complex "Khatyn" near Minsk. On behalf of the British royal family he laid a wreath to the Eternal Flame in memory of hundreds of Belarusian villages destroyed by the Nazis during World War II. Michael of Kent was accompanied by honor guard. Belarus receives from UK digital copy of First Book of Samuel by Skaryna Belarus has received from the UK the heritage of its first printer, Francysk Skaryna, though only in a digital version. The virtual copy was handed to Belarus by University of Cambridge. This is the First Book of Samuel, published by the printer in Prague in the early 16th century. Moreover, this is not a complete book, but only a fragment of the publication. But, according to the correspondent of the news program "24 Hours" on the CTV, this does not diminish its importance for Belarusian culture.

First Book of Kings returns to Belarus from UK The legacy of Francysk Skaryna has returned from UK to Belarus. This is a book called "The First Book of Kings", published by the first Belarusian printer Francysk Skaryna in Prague in 1518. This copy is only a part of the original edition, the fragment. For three years has the National Library of Belarus conducted negotiations with the library of Cambridge, where the original was kept. The book has finally been transferred to Belarus free of charge.
