Agricultural machinery assembly plant to be opened in Tajikistan A Belarusian agricultural machinery assembly plant will be opened in Tajikistan. The work on building industrial sites is in process. The progress of the project implementation was discussed by the two sides on May 18, 2017 in Minsk. Tajikistan is actively developing agriculture today. The opening of a joint plant on the territory of Tajikistan will help to shut the internal demand for agricultural machinery.

Belarus, Tajikistan to discuss economic cooperation prospects Belarus and Tajikistan will discuss prospects for economic cooperation. An intergovernmental commission, which will meet in Dushanbe April 25, will be searching for new paths for development of the bilateral partnership.  In addition, the parties plan to consider the implementation of joint projects in industrial cooperation and agriculture.

Minsk to ship MAZ trucks to Dushanbe as humanitarian assistance Minsk will deliver humanitarian assistance to Dushanbe in the form of MAZ trucks. This decision was made by President Alexander Lukashenko, said on September 14 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Tajikistan Olga Gavruk. According to her, when Tajik partners become better acquainted with Belarusian technologies, cooperation in this area will increase dramatically. The diplomat also noted the active development and cooperation in the field of education.

Belarusian paratroopers go to Tajikistan to partake in CSTO joint drills Belarusian paratroopers have departed for Tajikistan. A special division from Vitebsk will take part in the combat readiness checkup of the troops of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO member states. Belarus will allocate about 100 troops and 15 vehicles of the Armed Forces for the joint exercises. Spot checks of the readiness of the CSTO CRRF began on Tuesday. Taking part in it are troops from Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
