This was the first time Kirill Shimko had done this. We cannot say that this was easy. The strongman repeatedly took time out to catch his breath. Earlier, Alina Talai won gold in the 60m hurdles with a national record. Yulia Leontyuk took second place in the women's shot put with a score of 18 meters 60 centimeters. Svetlana Kudelich went on the podium at the end of the 3,000m race, setting yet another national record in the tournament - 8 minutes 48.02 seconds. Naturalization of foreign players in Belarus: pros and cons A similar attempt to strengthen our national team was undertaken five years ago when the basketball player Dante Striggers from Texas was granted Belarusian citizenship. He became the first naturalized American in our country. However, he did not stand the competition among other Belarusian players, and eventually, dropped out. The presence of foreigners in the national teams has become somewhat habitual. Not very long ago at Minsk Arena we all rejoiced at the victories of our hockey team with naturalized Canadians during the World Hockey Championship.

This award is unofficially called Belarusian sports Oscar. Domracheva voted Sportswoman of the Year in Belarus The newspaper Sportivnaya Panorama has summed up the traditional voting to determine the winners of the sports year in Belarus. The poll among sports journalists from print and electronic media has been held for the 56th time. Some 106 respondents voted for the best athletes of the year, the best coach and the two teams (in playing and non-playing sports).  Three-time Sochi Olympic champion Darya Domracheva became the best. She was 181 points ahead of the nearest competitor.

As for child care, it’s her relatives and older daughter Maria who help her taking care of the younger kids Anya and Katya, aged three and one respectively. Natalia got used to hard work and made up her mind not to go on maternity leave. Now she is sports director of the Belarusian Federation of Cycling Sport.
