Qatar simplifies visa regime for Belarusians Qatar has simplified the visa regime for Belarusians. Our citizens will be able to obtain a tourist visa for up to 30 days immediately upon arrival in Qatar. Qatar has established the same rules four about 40 states. That country is considered a real pearl of the Persian Gulf. Belarus Finance Ministry proposes Eurobonds to Qatar Investment Agency
Belarus to issue bonds worth $800 million in 2017 The Finance Ministry of Belarus supports the eastern vector. The Qatar Investment Agency was offered to buy Belarus' government Eurobonds.  In 2017, Belarus expects to issue the bonds worth $800 million. The funds will be spent on new joint projects or for the modernization of existing plants. The creation of the Belarusian-Qatari investment fund may become a catalyst for the bilateral relations.

Belarus offers Qatar to partake in privatization Belarus offers the Qatar Investment Agency to enter into the banking sector and to participate in the privatization. This was discussed at a meeting in the government on December 2. Belarus considers Qatar as a promising partner. This is confirmed by the positive dynamics in relations between the parties. There are many examples of cooperation and one of them is the construction of a hotel and sports complex for Qatari investments. About $200 million was invested in the project.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has already met with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Al Thani. The two leaders discussed various aspects of cooperation. The focus was on economic issues. Tamim Al Thani said that Qatar's relations with Belarus are of strategic nature. He expressed willingness to build cooperation with Belarus in all directions.

Qatari investors going to continue cooperation with Belarus The delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Qatar visited on July 3 a multipurpose sports and hotel complex in Minsk. It will open by the end of 2015. The complex is 80% ready. Direct investments of Qatar, one of the richest countries in the world, amounted to about $160 million. Together with the foreign guests the complex was visited by defense minister of Belarus Andrei Ravkov, Assistant to the President for National Security, Viktor Lukashenko and Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets.

The first major project is a hotel and sports complex. Its construction cost the Armed Forces of Qatar about 160 million dollars. The construction is already in the final stages.
