All these days, suspects in the terrorist attack in the UK were being arrested. Already more than a dozen people were held by the police. Belarus President: Preventive work should be practical and effective
The law enforcement system in Belarus should be as effective and optimal as possible, said President Alexander Lukashenko on March 10 at a meeting to review the operation of law enforcement agencies in 2016 and optimization of the law enforcement and judicial system.

Celebrations held in honour of the 100th anniversary of Belarusian police
Belarusian police celebrates its 100th anniversary on March 4, 2017. Celebrations on this day take place all over the country. The main events were held in Minsk. A ceremonial parade of Belarus Internal Affairs police units passed through the centre of Belarus capital. More than 1,000 people took part in the parade.
In his address to Belarusian policemen, President Alexander Lukashenko emphasized, that Belarusian law enforcement bodies successfully keep up the high level of law and order in Belarus.
100th Anniversary of Belarusian Militia
A new souvenir sheet “100th anniversary of Belarusian Militia” was issued on February 24, 2017. There are two stamps in the souvenir sheet, printed by using a special technology of thermal stamping by metalized foil of golden color. The print quantity is 15.000 souvenir sheets.
