Club promoted to 2018 Belarus Premier League with 10-point deduction The season of the First League of the football championship of Belarus has ended. One of the newcomers of the elite division will be the young Minsk club "Luch" (in English: "Ray") under the leadership of the ambitious coach Ivan Bionchik. After the sanctions of the Federation season-2017, the Bionchik team began the season with -10 points and despite this became champions. Already at the beginning of the second round they were among the leaders of the First League. Luch won the ticket to the Highest League before the last round match vs Torpedo Minsk.

Belarus got into the list of the countries and here are some facts about Belarusian footballers and clubs today.

BATE among top 20 European clubs by revenue in 2015/2016 season FC BATE Borisov has been ranked among the top 20 clubs in Europe in terms of income in the 2015/2016 season. According to Pressball, the Yellow-Blues during this period earned 24 million euros. This allowed the team to take places from 18th to 20th. Juventus from Italy was the top earning team that season, with 92 million euros. The total operating revenue of European clubs in the 2015/16 season decreased by 9% and amounted to 727 million euros.

BATE becomes Belarus’ champion for 13th time The 25th round of the Highest League confirmed what everybody has known for a long time. BATE became the Champion of Belarus for the 13 time. It happened in a very small town Luninets where BATE had a match with FC Granit from Mikashevichi.  However, the outsiders of the Highest League had several good chances in the first half. In the second half the defense of Granit became weaker and Nikolai Signevich scored the winning goal bringing BATE another title.

FC BATE will for sure secure their first place and another title, not everything is that clear with Dinamo Minsk, Shakhtyor and FC Minsk. The previous two are traditional contenders for a place on the podium but FC Minsk is like a dark horse here. FC Minsk coach, Andrei Pyshnik, told the CTV that they have a squad that includes players of all ages, a mixture of young energy and experience.
