A historical reconstruction was held in the residence house of Nemtsevichy. Belarusian clubs reconstructed the final episode of the war. 30 BelAZs line up in honor of 70th anniversary of Krasnobrodsky coal mine
30 BelAZs take part in truck flash mob A congratulatory video postcard involving BelAZ dump trucks was created in Russia in the Kemerovo region. To mark the 70th anniversary of the Krasnobrodsky coal mine, the Belarusian giant trucks lined up to form the inscription "70 years" in Russian. 30 vehicles were needed for this truck flash mob. The Kuznetsk coal basin is one of the largest coal deposits in the world. In 2016 it purchased 60 Belarusian BelAZs.

Belarusian tramcars celebrate 118th birthday The oldest tramcar in Belarus celebrates its 118th anniversary. On June 18, 1898, the first Belarusian tramcar travelled through the streets of Vitebsk. Even Moscow and St. Petersburg did not have such a mode of transport. Another interesting fact is that electricity came to the city together with tramcars. The electric vehicles moved at a speed of only 14 kilometers per hour. This is why boys of the late 19th century considered it an honor to cling to the back of the tram to travel home without a ticket.

Over 4,000 Minsk residents participate in Chernobyl commemorative events On 26 April, events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy were held in every Minsk’s neighborhood. As many as four thousand Minsk residents took part in them. Officials, Chernobyl liquidators, the military, and pupils participated as well. Frunzensky District
Frunzensky District turns 65: history and residents’ reviews A new district appeared in the northwest of Minsk 65 years ago. It was named Frunzensky after the legendary revolutionist, statesman and military leader Mikhail Frunze. The villages Bolshoye Medvezhino and Baranovshchina (nowadays the Zapad neighborhood) joined the district in 1978. The Sukharevo neighborhood in the Frunzensky district was built in the 90s. Some territories of the Minsk region joined the district in 2004. These territories are nowadays Masyukovshchina, Kuntsevshchina, Dombrovka, and Kamennaya Gorka.

2011 Minsk metro blast: five years on It's been five years since the day of the April 11, 2011 tragedy. Belarusians will never forget that day. The rush-hour Minsk metro blast claimed the lives of 15 people injuring further 400. The monument Memory Rivers was installed at one of the entrances to the station. From the morning flowers of April 11, those who remember those tragic events were coming to the stela carrying flowers and candles. Underground workers also commemorated the victims.
