Victoria Azarenka into quarterfinals of Miami Open

Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka made her way to the quarterfinal of the Miami Open.

In the last 16 match, the Belarusian, who now occupies 186th place in the WTA rating, won against world No.32 Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska in two sets, 6:2, 6:2.

Victoria said after the match: "I think today I played tennis at a high level, I gradually removed mistakes and was on the ball, very well thought out my actions, was aggressive, and my game plan worked.

The most pleasant part of the return is to play in front of a wonderful audience and feel that people support you. Thank you."

Prior to this victory, Victoria Azarenka won against American tennis players CiCi Bellis (44) and Madison Keys (15), as well as Anastasia Sevastova (17) from Latvia.

Now Azarenka will contest a semi-final spot with Czech Karolína Plíšková, who is 6th in the world ranking.

Victoria won the tournament in Miami three times (2009, 2011, 2016).

Azarenka is back on the court after a long child custody proceedings against her former boyfriend Billy McKeague. She had to miss a number of tournaments literally "locked" in California despite being physically fit.
