Belarusian Vera Lapko wins Miami Open's first qualifier

Belarusian tennis player Vera Lapko has won the first qualifying round of Miami Open.  

In the first match of the tournament, the Belarusian athlete (WTA No.135) beat Japanese Kurumi Nara (95 WTA) 6:7 (3:7), 6:4, 6:3.  

In the second round Lapko will meet Germany's Andrea Petkovic (111). The winner qualifies into the main draw of the tournament.  

Three more Belarus tennis players will partake in the tournament. They will start Miami Open right from the main draw. 

Victoria Azarenka (WTA No.186) will take on American CiCi Bellis (44). Aryna Sabalenka (60) will compete with US Madison Brengle (77). Aliaksandra Sasnovich (46) will take on Czech Kristýna Plíšková (80).
