Battle reenactment at Stalin Line: 100th anniversary of Belarus’ Interior Forces

A battle reenactment took place at Stalin Line historic Line in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Interior Forces of Belarus.

The event gathered hundreds of people at the complex. Throughout the entire history of the country, soldiers of special service departments took part in battles at different flashpoints, be it the Great Patriotic War or the military actions during peaceful times.

A special program was prepared for the spectators, but the main surprise was the performance of special forces units and an amazing fire show.

Igor Shunevich, Minister of Interior Affairs of the Republic of Belarus:
I am deeply convinced that today’s reenactment of those days is closely connected with today. The succession of generations is highly valued in the Ministry of Interior Affairs and the Interior Forces. But this moment of upbringing, the demonstration of our heroic past is necessary, and we actively use it in every-day military preparations.

Traditionally, children are the most important guests at such events. What is more, many families come to the Stalin Line. An exhibition of military equipment and arms is what drew the attention of children today, they could try out the roles of mechanics or a real reconnaissance scout.
