More Belarusian goods for European Union?

The entry of Belarus into the WTO was discussed during the visit of Belarusian parliamentarians to Switzerland.

The sides also spoke about the most promising areas and directions for the two countries. Switzerland promised to include Belarus in the import support program, which now brings together 11 countries. In fact, it will provide Belarus free access to international trading platforms. This was agreed on March 1 at the talks in Bern.

Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
The program to involve Belarus in international trade. To date, this program is valid for 11 states. The state secretary promised us that with the next revision of the countries, the Republic of Belarus will be included in this program. This means that goods of the Republic of Belarus will possibly be delivered not only to Switzerland, but also to the European Union.

In the meantime, the world forum of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on sustainable development is being held in Geneva. By the way, the idea of Belarus to create a network of national coordinators of the region is now supported at a high level. The forum summed up not only the results of work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, but a separate discussion was given to the topic of parliamentary interaction and more active work in the field of science.

Marianna Schetkina, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
We need to pay more attention to the topics of national scientific research. Because the scientific basis must be the basis of economic development. The scientific basis should serve for work on the goals of sustainable development.

After hearing doctors of science and professors we want Belarus' Academy of Sciences to communicate and exchange experience too.
