Waste incineration plant to be built in Minsk?

The director of “Operator of secondary material resources” Natalia Grintsevich has given an interview to the Stolichnoe Televidenie program “Bolshoi Gorod”, in which she spoke about the solution of the problem with rubbish sites in Belarus.

Natalia Grintsevich, director of “Operator of secondary material resources”:
In 2017 a national strategy on processing secondary resources and rubbish before 2035 was adopted. By 2035 we must use 50% of the waste, and by processing this rubbish traditionally, we won’t be able to reach these 50%. We must use new technologies on processing rubbish in Belarus. It may be a waste incineration plant in Minsk. About 25% of the waste produced in the country is in Minsk. What is more, we all know the situation with the rubbish ranges in Minsk-there is no land.
