President Lukashenko criticizes situation on the roads

Alexander Lukashenko held a big meeting on February 13, where the protection of citizens and order were one of the main issues discussed.

The situation on the roads is not as good as it should be. The President payed attention to the fact that more and more road accidents happen with the participation of the road police.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
Despite the decreasing number of road accidents in 2017, the number of victims has practically stayed unchanged, the number of children dying on the roads increased. Accidents with the participation of the road police still happen. What police authority is there? There is one question to the Minister- when will things be brought to order? Order in everything! So that you do not report to me that there are “cool guys». They are not children of ordinary people. “Cool” people and their children get on quads, snowmobiles and ride in the fields where winter crops have been sown. This is what I drew the attention to, and you are writing reports to me. Take the transport off them. This is the solution to the problem I want the society to hear my position.
