Belarusian speed ​​skater disqualified for violating rules at 2018 Olympics

The Belarusian skater Maryna Zuyeva was disqualified at a distance of 1,500 meters at the Olympics in Pyeongchang.

On Monday, February 12, competitions of skaters at a distance of 1,500 meters began in Gangneung Oval. Belarus' Zuyeva went to the start in the third pair, along with the representative of China Ruining Tian.

The Belarusian won the race, however, after the finish, the referees saw a violation of rules. It was decided to disqualify the representative of Belarus.

Competitions in speed skating at a distance of 1,500 meters for women are still ongoing.

Zuyeva was not among Belarus' medal hopefuls, but she had already succeeded at the Olympics by improving her personal record.
