Belarus needs to renovate regional airports, especially western ones - expert

What needs to be done to develop inbound tourism in Belarus? This matter was discussed during the talk show "What Is Going On?"

Filipp Gulyi, Chairman of the Board of the Republican Union of Tourism Industry:
We need active renovation of regional airports in Belarus. Especially, the western ones - Brest and Grodno. That's where the investments should go - national and foreign. Economic zones should be created there.

Egor Khrustalyov, host:
It's unclear who should pay for this.

Filipp Gulyi:
It is important to understand and raise this issue. There is demand for services that could be rendered in these regional airports, there are markets, people fly there. Both Belarusians and foreigners arrive there. Especially given the visa-free regime - Grodno and Brest should expand as far as possible.

Then the development of local clusters will go from there.

We touched on the topic of unfinished, collapsing castles, on which there are not enough resources. This investment and development, especially of aviation, should go to Belarus' regions. Now because of the visa-free regime we should focus on the west of Belarus. We would like Wizz Air, Ryanair and everyone else to come there.
