Belarus to lower refinancing rate to 10.5% from 14 February

Belarus will continue lowering the refinancing rate. The first step in 2018 will be made on February 14 when the indicator will go down to 10.5% per annum, thus losing half a point.

This step is a reaction to the slowdown of inflationary processes in Belarus.

The National Bank also explains its decision by restoring economic growth and favorable trends in foreign markets.

In 2017, the financial regulator lowered the rate 8 times - from 17 to 11%. The forecast for 2018 is 9.5%.

This indicator affects the availability of credit resources. It is expected that loans for both the real sector and individuals will become cheaper.
