Export of Belarusian agricultural products to the EU increased while showing a negative trend in Russia in 2017.

Over the past year, agricultural exports from Belarus grew by $800 million and reached $5 billion, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Marynich told the ONT TV Channel.

According to him, in 2017 Belarus opened the markets of 15 countries for its supplies (including China, Italy and the United Kingdom).

In total, agricultural products from Belarus are exported to 70 countries (91.4% to Russia, previously 97%). Marynich noted that the processing of Belarusian products has become deeper.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy said that by 2020 Belarus plans to increase agricultural exports to $7 billion.
