Two truckers from Belarus beat road policemen in Italy

Sergei and Dmitry, 29 and 33 years old truckers from Belarus, were sentenced to six months' imprisonment conditionally by decision of the Italian court. This is the result of their fight with the police, according to Bergamonews.

Two truck drivers on Sunday, January 21, were involved in a brawl with the police at the service area off the motorway in the city of Caravaggio (north Italy).

"Two carriers stopped to eat and drank alcohol," the note says. Soon they approached two employees serving the highway and began to threaten them. Police patrols got involved in the conflict too. However, when the officers arrived, the two Belarusians (who were not sober by visual signs) first began to insult them, and then beat them: the elder brother attacked the policeman, and another struck the second in the face. The policemen needed medical help."

"The officers called for reinforcement and as a result the two brothers were arrested," the newspaper writes.

"But as soon as they were delivered to the traffic police building, they began to crush doors and furniture. The judge considered the arrest a justified measure, and for their illegal actions the truck drivers were sentenced to six months' imprisonment conditionally."
