OSCE PA representative Kent Härstedt meets with Belarus President

On January 23, Alexander Lukashenko received the Representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for Eastern Europe, Kent Härstedt, at the Palace of Independence.

Minsk still counts on close cooperation with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Already at the next parliamentary sessions of the OSCE, the Belarusian side will present several relevant documents: they concern fight against terrorism and cybercrime.

After the OSCE summer session in Minsk in 2017, the contacts of parliamentarians have significantly intensified.

Kent Härstedt, OSCE PA Special Representative for Eastern Europe:
It was a great event with a very good result for all of us. I myself was actively involved in this process and was especially pleased to see the fact that Belarus kept its word to the letter on each of the issues. Initially there were those who doubted that, but then life showed that it was the right decision - to hold an event here in Minsk.
