Nigeria offers Belarus cooperation in tractor building

On January 16, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko received credentials from the new heads of diplomatic missions of 12 states.

Many of the countries represented at the ceremony have projects with Belarus that are being successfully implemented. Others have yet to bring joint ideas to new heights.

For example, the Ambassador of Nigeria, without wasting time, turned to the Belarusian leader with a proposal to create in Nigeria, the largest country of the African continent, a facility to produce tractors. As it's widely known Belarus is famous for its tractors called "Belarus". The Belarusian leader promised to consider the proposal and give an answer in the near future.

Steve Davies Ugbah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Belarus:
Belarus has great experience in tractor construction, and without this industry, the development of agriculture is impossible. This project can be mutually beneficial to all participants. It may be beneficial for your country to invest in the creation and restoration of the production of tractors in Nigeria, especially considering the liberalization processes that are taking place in our country today, when you can take from Nigeria a 100% profit from production.

The Belarus President assured the diplomats that they can count on the Belarusian side's readiness for fruitful and effective joint work.
