Tourists from 18 countries visit Grodno region since visa-free regime introduction

Nearly 700 tourists have come to Belarus, and that is three times more than last year.

The majority of them are from Lithuania and Poland. During the New Year and Christmas celebrations, visitors from France, Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic visited Belarus as well. Most of the tourists travel inside organized groups. From January 1, 2018 the zone of the visa-free regime was expanded for the entire Grodno district. What is more, it has become possible to come here by train and plane as well.

Nevertheless, the Grodno authorities think that the most popular transport for coming to the area will be the railway. The health centers of the region are counting on more foreign tourists coming to them in the view of the expanded 10-ay visa free regime.
