BATE ex-manager joins FC CSKA Moscow

Former coach of BATE Borisov Alexander Ermakovich will continue his career at CSKA Moscow.

He won't be the team's head coach, but one of the assistants of his countryman Viktor Goncharenko. On January 9, Yermakovich was officially signed as CSKA coach. On January 5, Yermakovich announced his resignation from BATE, with Oleg Dulub from Ukraine's Chernomorets replacing him.

Yermakovich became the most decorated coach of Belarus, with 10 titles.

BATE won the 2017 season's title narrowly and quite controversially in November 2017, scoring equal number of points with FC Dinamo Minsk but winning in terms of head-to-head matches.

Oleg Dulub has said the BATE offer was very attractive and has already given an interview about how he would manage the new club.

FC BATE will represent Belarus in the Champions League in the summer of 2018, starting from the second qualifying round.
