Belarus improves position in annual passport index ranking

Belarus has improved its position by five places in the annual passport index report by Henley & Partners (an international consulting company, which specializes on developing state programs aimed at issuing citizenships through investing and private services) in cooperation with IATA.

Now Belarus holds the 65th place. Every year the company analyzes visa rules of more than 200 countries and sorts these rules in accordance with the number of visa-free states.

Germany has been the leader of the rating for 5 years now. A German passport holder can travel to as many as 177 countries without applying for a visa. Singapore, Finland, France, Japan, Great Britain, Italy, Norway, Sweden are among the leaders as well.

As for the neighboring countries of Belarus, Russia holds the 48th position in the annual ranking, Ukraine-44th.

Afghanistan holds the last position in the rating, citizens of this country can visit only 24 countires without a visa being issued.
