Belarusian on trial in Poland over Auschwitz desecration

Participants of a flashmob undressed and handcuffed themselves at the gates of the former Nazi concentration camp.

In Auschwitz, Poland, the trial has begun over the desecration of the memorial of the concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. There is also a citizen of Belarus in the group of 12 people. Also among the participants are the citizens of Germany and Poland.

The participants called their event an anti-war protest. 

At the gates of the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz, they undressed and cuffed themselves, and on a world-famous gate with the slogan Arbeit Macht Frei, a group of participants hung a banner with the inscription Love. 

At the same time, two participants killed a lamb.

A representative of the Auschwitz-Birkenau museum said that the institution incurred losses of about 5.7 thousand euros because of the accident, the Polish press reports.
