Belarus' Foreign Affairs Ministry reports on country’s 2017 external politics results

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published a document on its website concerning the results of Belarus’ external politics in 2017.

The article contains a lot of information about the development of relations and dialogues with other states. The relations with other countries are described as positive, however, the issue of Lithuania’s aggressive declamation concerning building a nuclear power station in Belarus has been touched upon as well.

The Belarusian media has been full of news on the visa-free regime in 2017. One of the points of the article concerns this very issue, where the success of this regime is being discussed. Currently Belarus is conducting negotiations on introducing visa-free regime for citizens of such countries as Honduras, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China Columbia and other states.

What is more, amendments are made to the agreements with Ukraine and Israel on a mutual visa-free regime.

The visa-free regime for citizens of 80 countries was introduced in February of 2017. And as of December 1, 2017, over 72 thousand tourists from different countries of the world used the right to come to Belarus within the visa-free regime.
