Mobile oceanography museum opens in Minsk

Real inhabitants of the ocean could be seen on January 7 almost in the center of Minsk.

An unusual museum began to travel around the city. A trailer, which previously was used to transport military equipment, was rebuilt into an exposition featuring unique models of submarines, busts of outstanding navigators and diving equipment. You can see even the backbone of the whale, which is more than 5 thousand years old. Rare fish, crayfish and octopus live in the museum aquariums. Glasses of virtual reality help immerse into the underwater world.

Alexey Azarov, Director of the Center for Oceanography:
We have a very beautiful crayfish, a long-necked turtle, a blue lobster, an alligator fish and a dwarf pike. This is not just an ocean museum, but an educational and marine center. There the unique biological laboratory is working. There are three microscopes there, including of high resolution. We also have a 3D printer there. With spherical chambers.

Somewhere in about two weeks, virtual robots will be installed, who will offer tours.
