Lowcost flights from Minsk to Moscow and St.Petersburg?

The Russian low-budget airline Pobeda received permission from Rosaviatsia to fly along the routes St. Petersburg-Minsk and Moscow-Gomel. Today it became known that the Belarusian Department of Aviation also allowed Pobeda to fly to Minsk.

- Pobeda has fulfilled the necessary conditions and has passed accreditation in accordance with our aviation rules. Next, the airline will send its schedule, coordinate things through our services, will enter into agreements with service organizations. How it will be organized is their own commercial work," Irina Morozova, deputy director of the Department for Aviation, said.

Information on how often the budget airline plans to fly from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Gomel and Minsk, has not been published yet, but it is known that Rosaviatsiya allowed Pobeda to fly seven times a week. 

This is not the first attempt of Pobeda to get an permission to flights to Belarus. Earlier, Pobeda could not agree on ticket prices with the Belarusian Ministry of Transport and Communications.
