Alexandra Sasnovich (88 WTA) continues her victorious march at the WTA tennis tournament in Brisbane! In the semi-final, the Belarusian player defeated Anastasia Sevastova (16 WTA), 7:6 (7:3), 6:4 in straight sets.

Thus Sasnovich has reached a WTA final, which is the highest achievement in her career.

In the final match, she will face the winner of the match between Karolína Plíšková (Czech Republic, 4) v Elina Svitolina (6, Ukraine). The match will begin approximately at 14.10 Belarusian time.

Sasnovich is currently the second best Belarusian player in the WTA, behind 19-year-old hot prospect Aryna Sabalenka. Sabalenka and Sasnovich have recently brought Belarus second place in the 2017 Fed Cup and narrowly lost to the USA in the final 2:3. The match was so important that even Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko attended it.
