Belarus loses key game to Switzerland at U20 IIHF WM in Buffalo

The Belarusian team suffered a second defeat at the U20 World Hockey Championship in the USA. On the night of December 28, the team of coach Yuri Faykov lost to the Swiss 2:3 (1:1, 0:0, 1:2).

In the opening game, the Belarusian hockey players lost to Sweden 1:6.

Teams positions in group B: Sweden - 3 points (1 game, goal difference 6-1), Czech Republic - 3 (1; 5-4), Switzerland - 3 (1; 3-2), Russia - 0 (1; 4 -5), Belarus - 0 (2, 3-9).

Belarus will hold the next game on December 29 against Russia.

After the one-round tournament, four of the five teams from groups A and B go into the quarterfinals. Outsiders of the groups play against each other to two victories for the right to remain in the top division of the world's U20 hockey.
