Belarusian doctors released from captivity in Libya

Inna Babush and Sergei Zdota have been working in Libya as doctors on a contract basis from 2010, however, in 2017 their contracts terminated and they had to leave for Belarus.

But things turned around the other way. The doctors were detained by armed people and had all the documents taken off them. Therefore, they had no chance of leaving the country. However, it became known that the Belarusians have been freed and in the nearest time they will be on a plane to Moscow. Belarusian diplomats will be meeting them there and they will help them to return back to Belarus.

According to preliminary information, the Belarusian doctors were freed from captivity in Libya thanks to Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of the Chechen Republic.
