I would like to congratulate our people on this holiday. Congratulations to Catholics and Christians of other denominations who are celebrating this holiday today. I also congratulate our Orthodox sisters and brothers, who are preparing for the same holiday. The holiday is common to all of us. I wish that these holidays bring real joy to Belarusians. I wish that God's grace reign in the hearts of men, and that they live in peace.

The Belarus President also congratulated the nation on the holiday.

The Holy Masses continued all day through all Belarus and brought together thousands of believers. Belarusians, together with Catholics of other countries, pray for peace and love. Many go to temples together with entire families. This no accident. After all Christmas is a special holiday filled with light and family warmth.
